so true about the heat...
the older I got, the further north I went. By the time I ended up moving to SoCal I was living in South City!

That daily afternoon fog blanket was the best!

all selected options and permissions are represented in your databse. You could always go and check the database entries and manually adjust them there if needed.

I am a hosting reseller and web administrator with many clients...some of them pay me to run and maintian their websites for them. When given the choice, I prefer to use XOOPS to do that.
When I log into my help desk app, I get tickets submitted stating that the module is no longer working, and when I call the customer and inquire a bit more, I find out they have changed ISP's or answered a phishing e-mail of some sort that compromised their paypal account. Either way, the e-mail address that they were using at first no longer exists, and when this information is changed at paypal, you need to go restart the IPN logging.
This is done as a security measure at PayPal.

As for which version...both work, but I use 1.9 currently.

I still get a chuckle out of phpbb's claim that donxoop wouldn't have timed out of his session if they used CBB instead of newBB!

your question is not exactly clear to me.

Once the block has been created, go to the groups section of the admin area and define which groups you want to see the block.

In the blocks section of the admin area you can also define which specific pages the module will show up on, and which pages it wont.

Other than that, there isn't much else to do with a block, except change where it is 'physically' located on the pages you have decided to show it on.

There are some themes however that have 'collapsing' blocks in them...which is to say that there would be a little plus or minus icon of some sort in the head of the block that will collapse or expand the block when you click on it...but that is something that needs to be coded by you in the theme and is not controlled by XOOPS admin functions.

in the admin section for the module....under configuration...you need to enter your primary paypal email address...then go log into paypal and turn on the IPN notification and enter the uri mentioned, altering it to contain the uri of your site.

it's pretty straight forward...
Paypal also has step by step instructions and help for turning on the IPN notification for the account.

Good Luck, and happy xoopsing!

Regardless of MySQL and SCO's 'deal', the existing versions of MySQL that fall under the GNU/GPL would not necessarily be considerd one of the new partnerships products, as it was licensed and released prior to that agreement.

As brash stated, the newer versions of XOOPS will not be dependant on MySQL as they are today, and in my opinion there would have to be some serious 'changes' or 'advancements' in the functionality of how apps interact with a database before anyone was 'missing out' on anything by staying with the GNU/GPL MySQL framework...if it was no longer supported.

It will be interesting to see where all of this leads as time goes on....

which forum module?

For NewBB 2.0 and 2.02 in the admin prefs
you set the 'since' default value to 1000 to display all topics from the beginning.

in CBB 1.14 and 2.0 you set the since default value to zero to display all topics from the beginning.

When I say beginning, I mean from the beginning of 'time'.

Hope that helps!

Happy Xoopsing!
