Hi,

If I remember ok gaining-mass.com was a well known XOOPS site (won some internal award and was always used as an example). I visited today and saw a different site with a different cms...anyone knows what happens? or did I miss the url?

thanks

Afaik the duplicate content issue happens with every rewrite method going around (simplified url for example). I guess you can make sure to always link to the 'corrected' url and then SE wont find the other content (my problem with this is that its hard to check if every url is ok).

Hi,

I was doing this in a block in previous versions but it doesnt seem to work on 2.2.4. I want to display 'hello username' (this works ok), 'you have X new messages'. X being of course the number of unread messages, anyone found a way of doing this on XOOPS 2.2.4?

Thanks

Yes, I want to get rid of the 'transfer' metaphor and have 'send to a friend' and 'print' on a bar (or somewhere on the post, not having to click on 'transfer' first). I believe those features would be used more if they were accesible with just one click...from re reading this thread I understand right now it works for other data, but maybe it can be added...thanks

Chris03, does your hack allow us to have the 'send to a friend', 'print' etc (the features that are inside 'transfer' right now on cbb) in a bar? or only icq, pm etc? thanks

well, i managed to modify modules/article/ to name/article, but then I see a very similar error on header.php too. So I guess that confirms modrewrite works on my server but there is something wrong with the modules I'm using? Anyone succeded in doing this with the 'article' module? I remember reading something about it but cant find it now...I havent tried yet with CBB but from reading here no one succeded on that.

thanks disky, here is the function (if I guessed what a function is

// include file
include_once $MODULE_ROOT."/include/file_include.php";
file_include_weblinks( $MODULE_DIRNAME, $XOOPS_LANGUAGE );
file_include_system_lang( 'search.php', $XOOPS_LANGUAGE );
file_include_system_lang( 'user.php', $XOOPS_LANGUAGE );

coulndt it be that I'm doing something wrong? 'justatest' works, but I tried modifying modules/article to abc/article and that doesnt work either (I am using the article module by phpbb that also overwrites the urls so that could be an issue).

anyway, hope you understand all this better than me...I really appreciate your help and understand there are no guarantees
