If you are not already using extGallery for something else, then you can install it and use the hook hack to embed photo thumbs in your articles using Smarty tags. You might be able to use that at least until you get the Koivi problem sorted out.

Here's a thread which talks about it. I shortened the URL:

edit: May not work with 2.2.x. I'll take a look and see.

When the block menu type is set to "Drop Down", links always open in same window, even when set to "blank". Can this be changed, and, if so, how?

I installed WF-Downloads 3.2 on a XOOPS 2.0.17.1 site and saw some issues plus I did not see any link for users to submit a file, so I uninstalled 3.2 and installed 3.1. I must not have set something right, though, because I still do not see a link for users to submit a file.

Even when I view the module index page as admin, there is no submit link either on the index page nor in the menu. What am I missing?

Catz,

Just got back and tried the new version. Seems to be working, now. Thanks.

Incidentally, I just posted a question re wf-Channel in the modules troubleshooting forum. It's not really important, but it's something I've been wondering about for a while. You might take a look if you have time. I'd like to get your take on it.

While I was still using XOOPS 2.2.x and wf-Channel 2.01, or whatever, I was able to put blocks on individual wf-Channel pages, which was really neat. That doesn't work with the current version of wf-Channel and XOOPS 2.0.17.1, and I was wondering why? Is it a wf-Channel thing or a XOOPS thing?

In a lot of ways, I really miss 2.2.x.

It's not working for me. There's no admin section and no way to set preferences, so I can't change the view from your shop to mine.

Also, the files were not packed in a "wfcafepress" folder, so you have to create it and then upload files to it. Is that by design, or did I get a defective version?

YSN is a fantastic module, I recently used it for a large family's website, and it was a huge success. I modified the cockadodledoo out of it and utilized the language files to customize form areas. I paired it up with some other community style modules like extcal/gallery.

Super idea!

Simply a fantastic module, especially once you implement the tiny little hack to replace the XOOPS profile system. I am not sure how XOOPS ever got along without it.

I've been playing with it, and it definitely grows on you. It's a really nice piece of work. Thanks, suico.

The idea is the replacement. You can enable only the album part of the module if you like.

Thanks. Looks like great work. I do have another question which you can probably help me with:

When I saw YSN, my first thought was that it would be a great addition to my small community web site. I am not a MySpace nor Facebook user, though, so I don't know much about this culture. The question is would people use this in addition to, say, MySpace, instead of MySpace, or what? What is the target user base?

I know that this is a question that each site owner has to ultimately answer for him/herself, but I would very much appreciate the benefit of your thinking on this - or of anyone else for that matter.

I have seen compliments on your work, and I thank you for sharing it with the community.

I'm a little confused. Does Yogurt Social Network replace Yogurt Gallery, or will they both be available? If someone just wants a user gallery, then Yogurt Gallery was great.

Catz,

Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated.

I figured out, of course, that it was modules/wfchannel/class, not xoops_root/class. Too much coffee, or not enough?
