I would also be interested in this little feature being added.

Also can anybody tell me where if possable i can change the date which is displayed for example my site currently displays an early date in the month as 5:mm:yyyy and i would like it displayed as 05:mm:yyyy, it's the leading zero i want to add to keep the formatting the same

In this instance the images are not displayed using flash although that is one way of doing it.

The main image with the characters on it is a Table Background Image and the slice image you are referring to is actually a transparent gif in the table cell where you actually see it appear

In the true meaning of the word these images are not overlapping even though they are above and below each other.

The only other way apart from flash and the above example to create this effect is by using html layers but this can get messy and may not display correctly in all browsers.

Hopefully that makes sense

You need to go into the admin section for your forum module, in this case CBB, select the "forums" option and within there you will have a listing of all the forums you have created.

Select the forum you wish to assign a moderator to by clicking the edit button next to it and when the settings page for that forum appear you will see on the top of the page an option to add a moderator. Select which moderator/moderators you wish to add then click the "edit" button once complete.

You will need to repeat this procedure with every forum you have created.

Hope that lot helps (and more to the point makes sense )

Regards

Stuart

P.S you are not required to create a group to have this facility, you can assign any member that is registered on your site as a moderator. If you wish to create yourself a group called "Forum Moderators" then go ahead and create one but the only reason i can see you wanting ot do this is so the member has a title of "Forum Modurator" rather than just member or whatever the basic members group is set to. Dont forget that once you create yourself another group you need to set whatever permissions you want the new group to have access to. just for reference I have set mine to the same as normal registered members.

I changed it by editing the template file for the redirect page using Dreamweaver but any good html editor will do.

This file you need to edit can be found within your XOOPS installation: modules/system/templates/system_redirect.html

Once you make the changes as required to this html file upload it back onto your server in the same place then go into the admin side of XOOPS and update your system module.

Thats all that is required to change anything on the redirect page and that goes for changing the whole layout of this page, changing the colours and adding images

Hopefully that lot makes sense and helps you guys out

It's in edituser.php in the root of your XOOPS installation.

On my system it's on line 108 and looks like the following line of code

Quote:
$edituser->setVar('user_sig', xoops_substr($_POST['user_sig'], 0, 255));

Just changing the last bit on this line of code should do the job for you.

Hopefully that helps

The only thing i have found that works for me is using hack.

I had a problem with some trolls and implementing this hack did the trick for me. It is not an instant answer to your problems but it may go some way in helping you to stop these culprits.

Hope this info is of some help to you

I have just double checked my installation and I don't appear to have this option so I guess it is not implemented as yet

I would also be very interested in finding out if this is poss or even just a default avatar can be set if the new user does not select one when regestering.

I notice that this XOOPS site has a default "No Avatar" avatar if the user has not selected one, how easy is it to implement this hack.

Thanks

EDIT: I have sussed out how to enable the default "No Avatar" avatar for users that have not selected one. You just need to overwrite the file "/uploads/blank.gif" with the file of your choosing keeping the same file name and this in turn will display your new avatar if required.
