No, these have not been officially released yet. As stated in the thread linked above: "The releases will be announced by the coming weekend if no new bug is found."

incama, thanks for that link.

Here's the home page for the product that the .swf is demonstrating: botmaster DOT net

They claim to be able to defeat sophisticated CAPTCHAs.

Warning: You may want to be careful if you visit that site, especially if you're using a security-flawed browser such as IE.

It's only in SVN right now. A review package might be available by this weekend.

Whether or not phpmyadmin is hidden, it should be protected. Configure it to use cookie or http authentication, and ensure that all MySQL users have strong passwords.

Do you have a server, accessible to all the developers, that can host an SVN repository?

You could create an index.php file in the web root directory that redirects to the /xoops directory. Its contents would be:

<?php header('Location: /xoops/'?>

I prefer this approach, rather than installing XOOPS in the web root.

I think it's a bug in 2.0.x, and the workaround is to give the user admin rights to only one of the system features, such as blocks.

If you develop a fix, please post it on the sf.net bug tracker. First check the tracker to see if there's an existing report on this issue.

Wasn't this fixed in 2.2.x? If so, examining that version might yield the fix.

If PHP is running as an Apache module, and you make changes to the main Apache configuration file httpd.conf or to php.ini, then you'll have to restart the Apache service.

Restarting the Apache service only takes a few seconds and will probably not be noticed by any users.

You can tell whether PHP is running as an Apache module using phpinfo() (the "Show PHP information" link on phpmyadmin's top page). Near the top of the output you should see something like this:

Quote:
Server API Apache 2.0 Handler

I'm using Protector 3.04a with both XOOPS 2.0.16 and XOOPS 2.2.5-RC2.
