Hi,

I am trying to configure smartFAQ 1.08 on my site. When I attempt to apply changes to the Blocks Management under Blocks and groups (found in the module menu) I get XOOPS root path not defined.

It is not clear where this is referring to and I don't see a place to set it in smartFAQ.

Aside from this, the site is working OK.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes that solution works great for me in both IE and Firefox 3x.

Thanks very much.

It occurs in a static page module I built.

They are html links like this and as mentioned it works in IE 7 and 8:

href="newsletter\KLA_NL_Spring2009.pdf" title="KLA Spring 2009 Newletter" target="_blank">KLA Spring 2009 Newsletter</a>

Hi,

When I have links to PDFs in my site, they open OK in IE 8. With various versions of firefox 3.x and Adobe Reader the final slash before the name of the file shows as \ instead of / and the file is not found.

If I manually change this in the URL then it will open.

How can I fix this so that my PDFs will open in both IE and firefox?

Thanks

Hi Nick James and Mamba,

Thanks for your notes...

I went to that discussion Nick James pointed me to and I turned on debug. I had no errors. Still, I reversed what I had done, in terms of trying to add altsys, pico and wraps. I also deleted the trust_path directory I had created.

Still no change.

I don't quite understand the 2nd post from Nick_James about the option should be "install" - I am not sure where I find that.

Hi, I am using XOOPS 2.3.2
I have successfully uploaded and installed some modules.
Today, I tried uploading Altsys .71, Pico 1.8 and Wraps 1.2
Altsys was uploaded but I cannot install it because I don't see the package.

In preperation for installing Altsys, etc., I have so far followed the instructions athttp://xoops.peak.ne.jp/md/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=96&easiestml_lang=xlang%3Aen

In Mainfile.php my trustroot entry is default (I did not change it).

// Alias of XOOPS_PATH, for compatibility, temporary solution
define("XOOPS_TRUST_PATH", XOOPS_PATH);

Due to the problem, I have renamed the trust-root directory I created as well as the directories and files I uploaded according to the instructions for PICO 1.8.

I still cannot see the modules I have waiting to be installed.

I should at least be able to see forum as a module available to install.

Would attach a screen cap but don't seem to be able to attach files to discussions...

Thanks,

English Pico Module to work with XOOPS 2.3.2?

Hi, Someone in this forum suggested pico would be a good module for adding html content to my page. I looked under modules (P) and can not find it there. I found a reference to it but it seems to be Japanese.

What I am trying to do is create a page, with a menu bar on the left side and my html content in the center block.
Something along the lines ofhttp://www.jazzpurr.org/

So if there is a better module, that is secure (no cross site scripting holes, etc.) that will allow me to do this suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

I am using XOOPS 2.3.2

I have been reading in
https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=253

and I am trying to customize multimenu to display my own custom menu names. I edited the names such as Multimenu 1, Multimenu 2, etc., but I don't see these changes in my site.

I also don't see an option where to add a pointer to point to html content for Tiny Content.

I've looked for more detailed instructions on how to achieve this but so far have not found anything that helps. Any pointers?

Thanks
