Thanks for the info. This particular site is a closed, professional community so the e-mail isn't an issue.

Members can receive the full text of the posting but that often doesn't include the member's signature.

Another question is with regard to the subject line. Even on XOOPS.org, the subject line is really of no value. My inbox is filled with
[XOOPS Project!] Support Forums auto-notify : New post in thread

It would be really nice to have the subject of the private message or e-mail actually have useful information.

As far as adding variables, can you point me in the direction to learn what that is and how to do it? Sounds like something beyond my skills.

CBB 3.08 - How do I edit the content of e-mail notifications?

I have a lot of users taking advantage of the notifications of new posts in CBB 3.08.

They would like the poster's name and a link to their e-mail address put into the post so they can send information directly without having to go to the site and look it up.

What file needs to be edited for this, and in what way?

Thanks.

I had some similar experiences reported here.

I didn't end up getting to the bottom of it.

I don't have the block in question in use anywhere and never have had. Are you suggesting something more than just making the block invisible?

I had issues with cloned templates in an earlier version. I'm not sure of the resolution if any.

This really makes customization difficult at least as I understand it.

I will be interested to hear if it is an issue with my version of PHP.

I frequently experience this error when attempting to do admin work on a site between about 9pm and 11:30 pm my local time.

I sometimes find that if I logout and login again, I can get a few actions completed and then the error starts again. This is usually my signal to go to bed.

I haven't encountered it at any other time of the day so am guessing I might be getting what I pay for with an inexpensive host and blame them for overloaded servers at a peak time.

Of course I could be completely wrong but am confident that someone will point that out if it is the case.

I am receiving the following error that was also reported here but I'm not able to find the fix.
This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

You can provide the following information to the administrators of this site to help them solve the problem:

ErrorSmarty error: [in db:extcal_block_minical.html line 8]: syntax errorunclosed tag {if} (opened line 5). (Smarty_Compiler.class.phpline 326)

The error reported at the bottom of the page is:
ErrorSmarty error: [in db:extcal_block_minical.html line 8]: syntax errorunclosed tag {if} (opened line 5). (Smarty_Compiler.class.phpline 326in file /class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1092

The error first appeared for me when trying to change the template set from the default to a clone. Other changes on the admin page work fine so far.

I have a few errors showing up on a new install of 2.3.3 and hope someone can tell me how to fix them or that they don't matter.
I have replaced the files and updated the modules but find that the errors persist. The site appears to be working just fine but I don't want to leave something that could turn into a problem.

My resolution has been the status quo. I want to go through the content of the folders and delete one file at a time to see which one is actually causing the issue, but can't find the time.

For now I have no solution and have been unable to change the folder location successfully.

Any news on this one? Is it fixed with 2.3.3?

Thanks.

After much searching, I found it in mysite/language/english/global.php. I too thought it would be associated to the system folder, but no.
