Notifications (email) for Private Message (PM) in Inbox?

Is it possible to set a Notifications (via email) option for Private Messages in the Inbox? Several of my users just use Notifications to email and don't actually login to the site regularly so don't know they have PMs in the Inbox. Is there a way to send and email Notification for a new Inbox message?

Did another install with the 2.2.4 version in the engine folder - working fine! Just don't turn on URL rewrite - that confuses the links when accessing through the module.

You might try uninstalling Xpress and reinstalling now that you have Frameworks installed. Perhaps a faulty install with no Frameworks? I was able to install ok with XOOPS 2.0.18.

Although I don't seem to be able to change themes in Xpress. It says I have chosen a new theme but when I access the module it's still the default. Any ideas?

Thanks - it works!
The old fix was to change kernel/session.php to regenerate = false (see post #11 above) but apparently that now creates the bug in 2.0.18.1...!
Set it to true and now it's working fine (even in IE)!
(But my 4 other 2.0.18.1 sites work fine with no change to that file/switch...)
That should keep phppp up at night for a while. I might try mirroring the trouble site and upgrading to 2.3.0a and see what happens.

Oh yay. I upgraded from 2.0.17 to 2.0.18.1 and now the issue is back on one site (other sites are fine).
Same result on multiple computers/users with IE7, Firefox 2, Safari & Blazer (Palm Treo browser).
Tried the following with no affect:
kernel/session.php regenerate = false
clearing cookies
repair/optimize session db table
custom session - off

Help!

Oh yay. I upgraded from 2.0.17 to 2.0.18.1 and now the issue is back - but the regenerate=false fix no longer works. I believe custom session is off but I can't get in with Firefox or IE to verify it. The usual trick of clearing cookies doesn't work either. Neither did repairing the session db table.
Tried a different computer, even used Blazer browser on my Treo - get sent right back to the login screen. Already getting emails from users so it's quite widespread if not 100% (used to be just occasional).

Another user just advised me same issue with Safari browser.

Help!!

I had the same problem. Somehow I got some phpkaox style files that work. Send me a PM with an email and I can send them to you (I don't have permission to upload here).
Or if somebody has a better solution for me to share let me know. Wish I remember where I got them and I'd just pass that on. Sorry...

xgarb and waleedpak - thanks for the tip. Changed the reads reference.
I also change all '' to '0' (I assume that's a SQL5 thing? I'm clueless there.)

Installed ok.

Now I keep getting errors in files with the syntax of:

if (strtolower(get_class($entry) != 'weblogentry') { // must be lowercase only

Any PHPers that can help with that one?
