Hmm... was going to use babel fish, but your link was easier, however it appears to be a WHOLE XOOPS install????
Any ideas?

Just thinking out loud... I am not too sure how XOOPS accesses the DB but is it possible to open both and only look at user details for login and password retrieval etc?

Otherwise it probably wont work logistically in my mind anywway..

Maybe I am going to be a little simplistic here...
All I want is 2 domain names (a .com.au and a .net.au) to share the same userdatabase so people can have multiple site access but only have to sign up again for each, which may grow to multiples of sites all running XOOPS (no probs having to relog in for each site).

Any ideas on how to do? As far as I can see some kind of sync or re-routing the table query to the other database seems to be the idea? maybe not I am no guru.

Any ideas welcomed, any solutions even more welcome.

I am also having a similar dilema, I have 2 domains with different content, I wish to share the user base (one site is sales orientated the other is support) That way a user can go to one site, log in as per the other site and get the info they paid for (ie the support or whatever is being sold as a subscription). It would be bewst (in my view) just to sync or point to the user table of each site from the other?

Any ideas/solutions greeted with warm welcomes...

Got the same feeling about the underground work, maybe someone is looking for renumeration like what was happening with Mambo CMS until the person trying to percure the money was told, hey there are several coming soon.... ROFL

SHOOPS seems to be deadall together, only finding ver for XOOPS 1.3.x real old.

and thanks fo rthe pointer to the other forum thread.

Brian

Ditto,
I have been looking for something for quite some time myself, I have even looked outside of XOOPS (blasphemy). It appears there are others out there like ourselves looking and not finding, any ideas? anyone?

Regards
Brian
