Just perfect. The DHTML editor is too weak and other editors like TinyMCE etc is too advanced.

I hope you can get ride of the small bugs. I want to switch to this editor right now. Does it work on 2.5.5? Or is it for 2.6 only?

Does anybody else have similar problems?

Yes I have the same problem.

My site has about ~5500 users. For me the connection does not times out. But I need to wait for about 30-40 seconds before I see anything.

It seems Xoops query all users from database. Not just 20 as default? Anyway, once the page is loaded it goes fast to search for users etc on the same page.

My site runs on a own server and it's fast. Everything else runs flawless on my site.

I got about 3-5 to fake accounts on my site daily. But now I get about 2-3/months. Thanks to the Stop Forum Spam setting in Protector

All captchas sucks. At least the onces that comes with Xoops. I have also tried to use Re-Captcha. But that seems to be worst of them all.

Bump!

Very unnecessary to have a show in form setting if it does not do anything!

Stop Forum Spam seems to work now!

I have set it to 'ban ip" instead of sanitizing. I think that solved it.

No need to install anything extra else like Xortify.

I don't know how about X-Forum. But in CBB/NewBB you also need to set "Allow HTML" in the module in order to use TinyMCE.

There is a setting called "Display in form". But that doesn't seem to make any effect anymore.

It doesn't matter if you choose the plain text or dhtmleditor. You still need to click the smiley icon to see the smilies.

I remember it worked on 2.2.2. And have never worked since that.

Or have i missed something?

One of the reasons why I wanted to upgrade to latest Xoops version was to use the new Stop Forum Spam feature in Protector.

But it not working for me. I checked the IP's on www.stopforumspam.com and they are listed there.

I have the required CURL lib installed on my server.

I have set it to sanitizing in Protectors preferences. Is there anything else I need to do?

In the Admin area, try:

Go to System Preferences > System Module Settings >

Editor Settings:

Editor for all modules: CHANGE HERE

You should be able to choose TinyMCE here. As it comes with Xoops.

Newbb 3.08 works, thanks! Only a few problems in admin area with the GUI (which is normal with old modules).

Anyway,

I just updated my site to 2.5.5 as well. So far no big issues

Only two small ones:

When i turn on debug i see this error in the Admin Area:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in file /kernel/object.php line 239

Is this something to worry about?

Php version 5.2.6
MySQL version 5.0.51

Maybe because my PHP version is too old?

I have not noticed any problems even with this error.

The other problem I have is about CSS.

Everytime I update Xoops I need to remove the first line in xoops.css:

table {width: 100%; border-collapse:collapse; border-spacing: 0;}

Otherwise tables will have no borders.

Also this CSS problem:

fieldset { border:0;}

I must set this to border:1 everytime in xoops.css else the borders from blocks disappears then a user logging in or out.

I thought these things could be overwritten by put code it in your theme.css. But doesn't work here.
I love Xoops!
