Re: Article 1.0 RSS feed problems

Yes I think you are right Sail, there are a few Frameworks versions out there now, there is also at least 2 or maybe 3 Article 1.0's out there, I really have tried all that I could find and I am just lost now, it's why I was hoping for Article 2.0, so I could get back to a benchmark so to speak, Article 2.0 and the correct Frameworks for it would be excellent.

It's quite interesting when you actually take the time to go through some of the files, they seem to be quite different, some non existant when you compare what's in the folders.

As I say it's still my favourite article type module and will perservere with it on another site, News is actually better than I thought, having now configured it and slowly working out what does what. In one of the Article 1.0 modules it has an export to "News" script in it, I tried it but it only exported about six articles, though it did export all of the Categories.

Cheers ;o)

Hey darin,

I am sorry about this but you have Found a Bug!!

No problems, I am using the previous version on two sites they are working fine, I like this module.

Now don't stress on this request, but if we could control the "link title length", in the block, that would be great, hope ya get what I mean.

I have to get some sleep I will revisit this thread later.

Re: X-Reaggregator 2.13 (Testing Required)

Ok just installed it on test site I get this when I go to admin of module and select "mashables"

Fatal error: Call to a member function getVar() on a non-object in /home/thegoss/public_html/modules/xreaggregator/include/mashables.addnew.form.php on line 17

Errors
Notice: Undefined index: xreaggregator_id in file /modules/xreaggregator/admin/index.php line 39
Notice: Undefined index: fct in file /modules/xreaggregator/admin/index.php line 51
Notice: Undefined variable: ml in file /modules/xreaggregator/include/mashables.addnew.form.php line 17

There isn't an input form, is there meant to be, there is no where to put text in so you can submit it.

Cheers ;o)

Re: CBB - Got error 134 from storage engine

Until you get an answer there is a bit of reading to do if you like, that problem has been around for a while for many of us, I gave up worrying about it so I don't know if there was a fix or not, but you aren't alone ;o)

134 storage error

Actually I probably should have a read myself to see if there is a solution lol.

Re: Article 1.0 RSS feed problems

Update: I have decided to start using the News module, I have a lot of work to do transferring articles manually, but RSS works, it's a PITA, but what ya gonna do.

I will persist with the Article module on one site because I think it's the ultimate "article type module", but I really need RSS updates between sites, so News is fine and simpler in a good way for the type of members I have, they used to get a bit freaked out by Article module, whereas I love it's features and its complicated nature lol.

Cheers....Darin ;o)

Article 1.0 RSS feed problems

I have a couple of sites that run 2.3.3 plus Article 1.0, both of the sites are a completely new 2.3.3 install but the db tables for article 1.0 were moved into the new install. Now when I post an article the RSS feed doesn't get updated it's like it's stuck in the past, showing only old articles. I have tried everything I know and I am left scratching my head.

It's the reason I have asked about Article 2.0RC previously, hoping that it may solve the problem, obviously I am still waiting for Article 2.0RC to move forward, so now I am asking what could be wrong with Article 1.0 to cause this problem.

Is it only happening for me?

Can anyone shed some light on this?

With Debug on, when I go to the main article index it has these errors

Warning: include_once(/modules/article/include/functions.cache.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in file /Frameworks/art/functions.ini.php line 83

Re: Need help finding a Mod (WordPress 2.2.1)

I've been wondering if anyone has tried this one on the the German XOOPS site, like can it upgrade an existing Xpress/wordpress install?

Xpress/Wordpress 2.7

Hopefully that is a translated link for those of us that don't speak German ;o)

Edit: ok doesn't seem to go to the xpress/wordpress page, just go to Downloads and you should see it in the "New Downloads" block.

Re: How to show forum posts related to a pages/category's name

Is this something like what you want, bear in mind it is just one page but I have added a mytabs block which shows each forum by the states of Australia. So my guess is you may be able to do something similar. Mytabs is very good for cloning blocks, then you can make the blocks show a specific forum, well something like that anyway.

pseudo Community module

Make sure you look at the whole page! (The top part is just some RSS2Email stuff for each states forum).

If I understand you correctly cozzie you may be able to do something like that, except the forum blocks could just be one block per school on a static page achieved with the "dummy" module. ;o)
