WYSIWYG Editor for XOOPS 2.0.13.2

I would love to install a nice wysiwyg editor for my XOOPS site other then than standard included version. I notice that to date none are located in the Module Repository only in the dev site.

What is the best working wysiwyg editor for XOOPS 2.0.12.3 with a good image upload option. (KIOVI)?? Maybe,--

It would be so nice if for once someone could write a easy installation for it. XOOPS installs so easy, and so do modules..but no editors!!!

I know many folks would love to see this clearly answered

I read a nice article on comparing some wysiwyg editors HERE

Re: Resetting the submitted news counter

Still hoping to get help on where this field is to correct, my counter is off, due to a prior bug. Just need to set it to the correct number.

Re: Smartpartner uploading images problems

I think I may be onto the problem...I checked my server file and the folder that was created and according to tech support "since it was created from the web it has a setting of httpd to the folder which prevents me from uploading any files" this is true even when I am logged in to my servers control panel......and try to just upload a file.

If this is the problem .... if so, anyone know ways to prevent it in the module..since it was the module that created the folder automatically for me.

Smartpartner uploading images problems

I installed smartpartner with no problems set up a new partner tried to upload an image within the correct configured size requirements but I get this error.

--------------------------------------------------------
Errors Returned While Uploading
Unknown filetype rejected
MIME type not allowed: image/pjpeg

If the page does not automatically reload, please click here
--------------------------------------------------------

I tried with .jpg with .gif and with .png still same problems. I even made sure the directory it uploads to is set at cmod 755 . Any other ideas..

Also the directory folder that the module created automatically for uploading the logos to is not in the MODULES -> SMARTPARTNER folder section but in the main directory located at:

/hsphere/local/home/halalan/shalommemphis.com/uploads/smartpartner/images/

and that is set at cmod 755

WYSIWYG Editor Installation Steps

First I have XOOPS 2.0.10 and I want a better editor than the standard one for my News secton and NEWBB2 section. Itn each of these modules they offer a drop down box for selecting a editor.
SPAW
KOIVI
FCK
I think I prefer to use the FCKEditor for making uploading pictures easier, but ONE..I do not see a version for my XOOPS only for 2.2 version of XOOPS

And..I just need a simple explanation of how they work, will the drop down box selection of the editors mean I do not have to edit any files?

A simple step by step for dummies...would really be a helpful addition to make it easier to understand.

Re: GoDaddy host installed for me - Now what?

godaddy has a phone number for technical assistance, they should direct you in getting your (FREE SOFTWARE) in this case XOOPS correctly installed. If it was installed correctly, you would have set up your master webmaster login name and account and then gotten into your main XOOPS standard page.

It sounds like you have not yet run the XOOPS setup yet, and their tech department should point you in the right way!
