Re: xOSC (oscommerce)

Please consider this:

Please help us help you: have you done this?
Before posting please do a search in the XOOPS top right "Search" box using appropriate "keywords" and find out if the subject has been dealt with before. Also look through the FAQ’s, especially if you're unsure what search words to use.

in your case a search on 'blank pages' assisted by a report on what is shown with debug turned on would be helpful.

Re: Issue with the login

Please see if this helps.

To try a simple repair on your sessions table do this:
just go into phpmyadmin

scroll down the list of tables in the db, tick the box next to the xoops_session table (your tables may have a different prefix than xoops_ tho)

then scroll to the bottom, in the selection box at bottom under the tables, select repair.

or you can goto the query window in phpmyadmin and type

REPAIR TABLE xoops_session

hope this helps

Re: osCommerce Logo

1 - no idea except that the module itself perhaps does not include the oscommerce standard theme.
2 - I guess you might try looking through the module files for a file named logo.??? (image file type)
There are FAQ's about logos in the theme category - you may find just the right clue in there. This FAQ may also be of use.

Re: Content Not being added

have you turned on blocks and set permissions both in the module and in the site admin? Sometimes you need to do both.

And this may help:
New users should always checkout the following:
1. Documentation - linked on the left. Specifically the administration manual
2. The FAQ section - linked on the left - specifically the sections on gloassry, beginners first steps, modules, blocks and themes. There are links to visual tutorials here.
3. The search function on the top right.
Please check also the read B4U post link below if you have problems.

Re: Error when Main Menu block is turned off.

hmmm...I don;t know but since it is code related it is over my head

In the mean time - leabe the main menu turned on - and perhaps head over to sourceforge and bring it to skalpas attention through the bug tracker or the forums.

Re: I want to change my homepage

Hi There
Welcome to xoops
For starters there is this:
New users should always checkout the following:
1. Documentation - linked on the left. Specifically the administration manual
2. The FAQ section - linked on the left - specifically the sections on gloassry, beginners first steps, modules, blocks and themes. There are links to visual tutorials here.
3. The search function on the top right.
Please check also the read B4U post link below if you have problems.

You will need to think about which modules you need to put your content into - that means what kind of content do you want? As a starting point consider 'news' and cbb forum. You can search for these using google - XOOPS news module and XOOPS cbb module

Since you are new I must tell you that the modules in the module repository are out of date which is why I have suggested searching instead.

Once you have used the above information to help you install modules you might then want a theme - to change the colours and look and feel of your site. There are loads of free themes - a search of XOOPS free themes should give you plenty to choose from.

Re: how to restore module

You are going to need to give a lot more information or explain more carefully what the problem is to get help - what module? What XOOPS version? If the module is uploaded properly you should be able to install it as usual for all modules - please check the documentation and faq's on installing modules if you are unsure of how to do this.

Restoring the database as you seem to be thinking would restore all of your site provided you have a backup - is that what you need when you are having a problem with just one module???

Re: No help needed. Just wanted to say hello.

Hello Denlyn and welcome - for general chitchat you can use the forums xoops.org members lounge - for feedback on XOOPS and suggestions use the XOOPS feedback and suggestions forum. Beyond that there are forums for support, modules and themes. Hope you find your way around them ok.
