With your multisite hacking, how are you handling the group permissions?

Does only one site set permissions for all the sites, or can each individual site, have its own group access authorization rights?

Have you been messing around with your template files?

When was the last time you did a module update?

may be a broken link. If your having problems, first ensure you've put the proper permissions on your folders:

chmod 777 - template_cache
cache
mainfile.php
uploads

Also, check here.

Im about baffled, and Im sure the answer is, "because I don't know what Im doing."

I had a single page, with 3 different areas that had links that changed layers using JavaScript. I then broke each of those three sections into individual blocks. Now, no matter where I put the java code, in block1, block2 or block3, only one of the blocks will be able to control layers. (in the block with the links itself)

For example:
Block1
Link1           Layer1
Link2           Layer2
(not visible until the link is clicked.

Block2
Link1           Layer3
Link2           Layer4
(not visible until the link is clicked.

Block3
Link1           Layer5
Link2           Layer6
(not visible until the link is clicked.

When I put the java code in more than one block, they all stop showing layers, or only the blocks that doen't have java code will change...

Can anyone give me a java script 101 lesson real quick? I probably need to explain myself some more….let me know if I should post my code…

Thanks!

I messed around with wf-sections for quite a few months, however had to give it up and move on to something a little more simple to work with.

There are quite a few issues with the last release, which is still considered beta, and although Im willing to work with bugs, the inconsistent manner in which they appeared made me give it up. The issue you are describing has happened to be before, and when I seem to remember after I uninstalled and reinstalled the module, it worked correctly, and then broke again.

Im sure your aware the wf-sections team has pretty much discontinued the development cycles around the last release, and I think they are changing the language the module will be written in. You can get more information at wf-projects . com.

The email address that appears is taken from the user account that is logged in.

The email address the form data is sent to is taken from the SiteAdmin address, configured in SysAdmin | Preferences :Admin mail address

Do you have the "write" permissions set for the newbb/uploads folder, or where-ever your uploading the images to?

Hi Clever,
The formatting of the categories comes from the style sheet and from the template used.

You can find the templates in your Sys Admin |Templates | Weblinks area. I think your looking at modifying the "mylinks_viewcat.html" template.

In that template, you'll see that subcategories use the
<font class="subcategories">. This class is what defines the look and feel of the way your information is presented. Either the font class will appear in your themename/style.css or the formatting of the template is being used.

It also may be appearing bold because it is an actual link, and the when some text has a link, it becomes bold as this is also defined in the style.css sheet.

I think Im right about the above, Im still learning myself, but that should get you pointed in the right direction.

After you change a template, you'll need to also "update" the the module the template was changed in as well as the system module.

YOu can update the modules by pressing the "update" button next to each module in teh "Sys Admin" | "Modules" area.
