Yeap! you gd_lib is 1.8 or before

the correct version i the 2.0

execute the phpinfo.php and search for :

gd
GD Support enabled
GD Version 2.0 or higher
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled

you solve the stats but you have problems in future!!! not all modules set gif/png/jpg

revise your php.ini!!

1- revise the gd library in your php.ini!

2- try installing nusphere pack work 100% okey in all os i'm yesterday realize more 20 installs and in all work 100%

2 -) No, the generation is automatic!
the field "Content" is for "add" before or after more information!
For add or remove options from main menu is easy. or set right into groups, or if not use the feature, disable the module!

Experiment with this: create new Custom block, put a title, and create a "Content" inside

And look the result, remember activate this block (visible).

the system modules or your modules?

if your modules, see the file xoops_version.php in modules/contacts/ dir by example

if XOOPS modules, please specific the problem!!!

revise the cache dirs!!!!!!! remember chmod!!!
the preferences are stored in : modules\system\cache\config.php

revise this!!!
