Look for a file called httpd.conf or if you are using Apache 2 it would be httpd2.conf or it could be in commonhttpd.conf(mine is)

find DirectoryIndex and add index.php

not sure where on a Windows Server but on linux it is /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

Hope that helps

The way I do it is to go into the modules xoops_version.php file, find the menu section and remove the sub 'name' and 'url' with the numbers [2] & [3], leave [1] so you can submit. That will remove the links from the main menu. Then in the templates folder remove any links that reference popular and top rated.
Has always worked for me.

Those lines are the code but to call for it they use this line in templates/mylinks_singlelink.html

<td class="newstitle"><{$category_path}></td>

hope this is what your looking for.

I would highly recommend Mandrake Linux 9.2
Just install all needed packages, choose server setup and also install mysql, install webmin to administer almost everything in the computer, go to webmin then servers and then mysql, you need to create a user, create database and give database permissions and it should be ready to go.

The where part is in the language/english/mail_templates/activated.tpl
or substitute your language for english.
The how part I'm not sure what you want to put there.

Hope this helps.

First you should tell the version you are using in your first post.
Most people are using version 2 now.
If you created a templates_c folder delete it that is for version 2.0.x
Also do you have a backup of the working database?
If not that should be the first thing you do when this is fixed.

O.K. now try going into your database and find the user table (yourxoopsprefix_user) then look for the name of the theme in quotations 'redstar' or whatever you changed it to, and change it back to 'bluely' you may have to do it to all your users. (easy with the replace option in your text editor) not sure if there is somewhere else that might have an area to change the default theme in the database, I didn't see any with a quick look through.

Someone else that remembers version 1.3.x might have more info.

The above procedure might work. If not

Maybe time to upgrade to 2.0.5.2

I just upgraded my last 1.3.x site to 2.0.5.2 and it went smooth. But post here before an upgrade.

Again most people answering your post are thinking of version 2 so don't create any new folders or files.

The problem is most likely the theme.

Try going into admin>preferences>general settings and turn off Debug mode. see if that helps.
