How can i change the template of forums and also the icons used in the forum.

Can you tell me how to change the template of error message or redirect message.

xoops-2.0.6 is what i am using, just downloaded few days ago trying to setup things

Recent news block or the big story block just displays the news heading, instead i want to show the news as seen on the news page. do have any module for that ???

other thing that i would like to know that how can i change the backgroud color of the top news, big story, recent news module. I use x2t theme.

I looked into the style sheet, but could not find it how to change the bgcolor of this modules.

i have news under various Topics, problem is that on main page i just see a drop down to select the topic and no of contents, once i do that i can see the news. otherwise i cant.

What i am trying to say that, i dont want to set news page as my home page from the Prefernces option. Rather what i want is that i can put the news block in my home page which shows the 10 news on the basis of date.

This might be a too dump question but please tell me how too show news on the home page, i selected the news block in center for the home page, but instead of showing the news it shows just two drop downs one with categories and other with no of news to be shown, :(

What i want is that it shows alteast 10 news on the first page on the basis of date. How can i do that ???

I dont want the news page to be my home page, as there are many blocks that i have set on the home page.

Why cant we have a backup module, which would take a backup copy and then ftp /scp it to the given backup server. similarly export he the db data ane import in the mirror db. this updates that are copied should be the diff between the last saved version and current state. I know at times it might consume heavy bandwith.

But this can be done at cms level.
