You could probably do it at the dns zone mapping level, create an A record assigning the m zone of your domain to the IP address of your mobile site.

Thank you Wishcraft, I heard that the reactors in your PC had a melt down, hope you didn't lose anything. XinCodes is now out of waiting and back on the fast track here. Thanks again! It will be slick if I can get it to validate correctly.

By fat finger it was sent accidentally due to a "fat finger" hitting more keys than one (plus maybe too many hours of doing this). Disregard the related message as it was sent in error.

But that said....

I am attempting to assign uname and uid xoops variables into javascript username and userid ones respectively. All web research, xoops dev site research, and examination of the xoops source code suggests that the correct syntax for this should be as follows: (<script and </script omitted).

var name = "<?php echo xoopsUser->getVar("uname");?>";
var id = "<?php echo $xoopsUser->getVar("uud");?>";

But when the JS is executed the JS variables remain empty ("") in the Firebug trace. If I substitute a literal string such as roadrunner for everything between the <?php and ?> the JS variable gets loaded with the data (i.e. "roadrunner').

Can anyone explain why the above JS variable assignment syntax would fail to assign the data to the JS variables and suggest any syntax correction I can try?

Much appreciated

Thanks ghia, thats fine the way it is. Just seeking clarification. If traffic starts to sink to embarrassing levels, then I will consider a timed approach so existing users won't see the same old names for an extended period.

Hello
Is there a settable time limit that will cause new users listed in the "New Users" block to drop out after period of time, or are these supposed to flush out only when other new users sign up? If settable, where does that parameter get set?

it should be hacked further to rely on the login, ... of XOOPS

can you show a generic code example of the XOOPS login showing the actual username and login variables that need to be used with php?

i.e.

//<?php echo $(what xoops variable goes here for username //of logged in member?);?>)

//<?php echo $(what xoops variable goes here for password //of logged in member?);?>)

Protected directory for non-module php scripts?

Hello folks,
Is there a XOOPS protected directory into which non-XOOPS module php script can be installed that restrains the script to execute only for users logged into XOOPS and not for anonymous users? i,e, any unregistered user attempting access to the URL of said script would get the XOOPS login prompt.

Thanks as always,
noobaru

Thanks, yes reviewed that earlier but just noticed a possible snoopy failure mode under https. Is that what you meant in your reference post? While url_fopen reads https feeds perfectly, switching to snoopy mode under prefs returns

Failed saving data to database for headline Category1
Could not open file:https://www.rssfeedsite.com/index.php/createfeed/Category1%20/1?lang=any

for all feeds when I go to click update from feed setup area.

by comparison, the reference case you pointed to, the user appeared to be running snoopy successfully for all feeds except for one.

This server does not run in plain http mode.
