Yip, did a search :)

I'm trying to find where XOOPS strips javascript, specifically in the news module. (Xoops 2.0.13.2 and news 1.4x)

Search indicated (from 2003 year period posts) this was in the textsanitizer - but my blinders must be on as I cannot find it.

If there was a way to limit Javascript to those who have admin status, that would be great - but not necessary. The checkbox to disable html should be suffient to thwart nasties when previewing news submissions.

Thanks

It will, it takes a week or two for them to index the thing. I couldn't use the python program - so I had to use the winders one. Think it took like 3 weeks for them to finally index it. I now just add a new map once a month.

You might also submit your map to Yahoo http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request . They have jumped on board (like they have a choice since Google's doing it) and are allowing sitemap submissions. Difference is Yahoo wants you create a simple text file with one URL per line. You can GZ it like the Google one tho.

Have you noticed MSN kicking butt in indexing lately? They still dont supply the hits Google does, but they are like 1 day turn around on anything I put up.

Have you looked into Google Sitemaps?

If you can't run the python program, you can always get a windows one to do it. I use the one at http://johannesmueller.com/gs/

Isn't wblogger the greatest?

The web based admins will do the same, just not as convenient (for me anyway)

Difference is they do it with [ i m g ] type where as wblogger does the html

To align the images [ img align=right ] or left - again same results, different approach. (close the brackets)

It's awesome tool for your news. I have several users that use it to submit news - and I use it as well to build my news posts offsite.

They have the magazine module, dunno if that fits your needs.

Probably the easiest way I can think of (off the top of my head) is to use the news module, but build/write your article with w.blogger. It's more convenient (I find anyways) for adding pics/content/links etc.

That's my thoughts anyways, wish I could of pointed you to the exact thing you needed.

If you go to the admin section of the IBP, you see XOOPS options, there you can wrap it inside XOOPS or keep it out.

You'll find everything at bbpixel about it. Just use the search and if you can't find it, ask on the boards. They are really helpful!
