Hi

I don't have access to groups. Where do I do the repair table?

Also tried creating a new admin id and that did not work.

Problem with Permissions

Hi,

I installed XOOPS 2.3.2 a while ago and my site has been up and running with this version for about a month. Somehow, in the Administration menu, under system, if I choose something like Blocks or Modules, I am recently getting a message that "Sorry, you don't have permission to access this area". Then I get kicked out of that area.

I am not sure what happened to cause this (I had originally been able to access these areas and my administrative user ID has permissions to everything under user profile...

Any ideas how to fix this without bringing the site down

Thanks

Thanks for all your help and the pointers.

I seem to have it working as I would like now.

All the best.

Hi,

Regarding "I see you use this IP address as domain in your URL. "
I changed the XOOPS_URL to kennebeclake.ca as you recommended. I don't see the IP address anywhere else in the mainfile.php (except as a comment). I used the "find" to look for it. Can you please clarify if this is what you meant in your last comment?

I am using IE 7 and FF 3.0 (and 3.1).

Regarding not seeing the IP in the screen, if you mouse over the links for home, contact or sitemap in the top user bar, that is where the IP address still shows.

Thanks for the link to configuring the themes.

It is still showing in the userbar above the login text box, even if you have not logged in to the page. I have home, contact and site map there. It is in the xeatol theme.

I looked through some of the theme files and I cannot see the IP itself embedded but I am thinking it may be picking it up from a variable somewhere.

If there is a way to turn off that bar in xeatol even better. I figured it out in the 2 other themes I have so far but not that one.

Thanks very much , that fixed most of the problem. I still have the IP address showing in the menu bar that goes across the top for xeatol theme.

I installed and developed my site prior to transferring the domain name. I used XOOPS 2.3.3. Now, the domain name has been transferred, but when I click on any of the menu links it uses the original IP address. Is there a way to rectify this. The site is www.kennebeclake.ca

Any help appreciated.

Smart FAQ is working fine for me by using the regular blocks now. I have taken note of the additional part of the suggestion also.

Thanks very much.

Document Management System 1 with XOOPS 2.3.3

Hi,

I uploaded Document Management System version 1 and it shows under modules. When I try to install it, after I click install I get Invalid default value for 'obj_id'

Is there a work around for this?

I want to be able to allow groups of registered users to be able to work on documents without making it viewable to the general public.

If there is a better module for this, with XOOPS 2.3.3 please let me know, but I liked what I saw when I saw the description for this one. Thanks.
