I followed your advice and installed and set the publisher module 1.07 on my Xoops 2.5.10 trial version. Everything seems to work well, but the fact that we can't see the number of articles per sub-category is rather obnoxious; in fact who uses the sub-categories, usually does not insert articles in the main categories and therefore the user does not immediately have an idea of how many articles there are in the module ...
it is solvable this little problem or I must already think of a "home made" solution ?

Reinstalled module : same problem.

-when logged out, of course, forum is visible and no errors in debug.
-I enter as admin and I can enter regularly the forum module .. no errors in debug
-If I turn "Forum for welcoming new user" from 0 to 1 , system regularly go back to the forum module administration page.
- then I go to Home Page ( no forum or sistem errors in debug ) and if I try to enter forum I have no probs ... ( but it is not first time for admin ).

OK, tried to reinstall and thumbs now are visible.
It seems something wrong happened during the upgrade from version 2.2 to 2.3

I installed newBB 5.0 final, released 2019/05/07 ( xoops 2.5.10 - PHP 7.2 - MySql 5.6.44 )
If I select "1" to allow users to read disclaimer at first visit , I read Error : Error: Call to a member function getHandler() on null
Is this a known error ? There are earlier versions of this forum ?
