Get the most out of news 1.4 module

hi,

I have XOOPS 2.0.13 and news 1.4.

I want in the first page of my site to show a block, that would be in the center, that shows 6-10 news with their topics image aside them.

e.g

tech new no.1 [image goes here(or in the left side)]
bla bla bla[scoop]

tech new no.2 [image goes here(or in the left side)]
bla bla bla[scoop]

tech new no.3 [image goes here(or in the left side)]
bla bla bla[scoop]

How can i do this?

What should i change in my module, and what changes should I also make in the blocks?//

CAn you please send me your theme.html file as an attachment to admin@techxoops.1l.com.

I did replace the code but nothing happens. I cleared firefox's cache also.

I want to add a horizontal bar in my theme!

i use a LucasTDS theme.
Go to www.techxoops.1l.com and you'll see an area where it says "welcome guest..." I want in that area to put some words with a link.

etc. I want to put the word FORUM and a link to www.techxoops.1l.com/modules/newbb.

How can I do that. ?

Can someone tell me?
this is my theme.html
[click save link as]

I need someone to tell me what lines and where should I put in my theme html so i can have 4-5 words with a link.

If someone could be so kind to tell me a java script for horizontal bar and how to integrate it to my theme, I would be grateful!!

I don't see why should i delete the system folder and update it. It doesn't contain nothing that has to do with pm.But i could be wrong..please explain it to me.

What should I do..
Someone please tell me where I should go to erase to copy to move to do something for C-out-L!

no i'm using the default templates.

If I recopy the whole system folder, will I lose something..
I can't stand or afford losing any data...

you're right. I checked to be notified when a new story in the news section is submitted but even then i didn't get any pm notification..

So, to conclude it's a core issue.

Well, what should I do??
Please help me on this, I really need it...
I cannot erase XOOPS and reinstall it ofcourse.[that's out of the question!]

Can you please tell me, which are the vital folders and files so that pm notifications should work OK?

If you can, make a screenshot of those folders.
That should help me a lot.
I have newbb2 as I said before..

[it could consist of a problem that my main site language is greek and newbb2 is in english? I tried to change the folder "language" under newbb folder from english to greek and vice versa but both my actions went down the drain.]
I also tried to import the mail templates from the older newbb to my current newbb2 but that didn't work either.]

HELP!!

No, it doesn't seem to be sending even e-mail messages as auto notifications..

HELP

edit: Can I edit mail templates inside XOOPS admin panel and without FTP?
I'm having problems with my host lately.
In the cpanel it says that the license file expired and when i try to connect via FTP it doesn't get my password correct!

I am running on XOOPS 2.0.13 and newbb 2.

I did the upgrade to newbb 2, just after i made a clean install of Xoops, before i put anything on the page..

Wait a sec, i'll try to turn auto notify to e-mail...

i can see it from my self, that when i post somewhere and have selected to be notified for the selected post when someone replies to my post i get no auto pm notification...

What is this??what could have I set wrong?
