You should try to replace (in style.css)
* { margin0padding0border0outlinenonetext-decorationnone;font-familysans-seriffont-size1emfont-weightnormalfont-stylenormal;}

... by
* { margin0padding0;}

That got rid of my formatting problem. I can now use bold and font colors, but I still can't create a page break.

The problem isn't with padding. If I use the HTML code <br> it simply doesn't work. I can include a thousand of them and it won't give me any spacing.

Theme on the left is xetagenesis, the right is pointspace.

The theme I am using will remove any formatting that I use. <b> <font> and <br> especially. I would like to be able to customize how things look for each blog post, and especially my blocks.

I am using the theme pointspace, at the sitehttp://www.razornylon.com/

While using just about any module, this theme strips out any page breaks. I have tried going through the CSS and other files, but my expertise is lacking, and while I know the basics I don't know how or why this works like this.

Can anyone give me and idea of what to look for so that I can format using standard HTML?

.htaccess for News and Wordpress

I am trying to write an .htaccess file to migrate my links from the news module into the wordpress module, to avoid have broken links.

I have already done the migration, and each article has the same post_id. I just want an htaccess script that forwards from news to wordpress.

Forward from:
/modules/news/article.php?storyid=#
to
/modules/wordpress/?p=#

I will also have permalinks turned on in wordpress so this method shouldn't interfere with that. (Permalinks are why I am moving)

Anyone got any ideas? I did this one before, but completely forgot and killing myself trying to remember.

I am using SmartSection as an article tool for my website. Been using it too long now to find a different module.

My problem is when I visit:
/modules/smartsection/admin/item.php?op=mod
there is a drop down menu where I can select the "Poster Name".

My site has over 15,000+ users, so it has to load all 15,000 user names on this page everytime I edit or create a file.

Is there anyway where I can edit it so that part of the page doesn't load and defaults to a certain user? Even if it defaulted to user ID 1 regardless of who posted it I would be happy. Right now though it takes over 60 seconds to load and freezes by browser for a good 10-15 seconds so I can't work on something else while waiting.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

So for the most part it isn't stable because not all of the modules work?

I hear everywhere that when installing XOOPS use version 2.0 and not 2.2 because 2.0 is more stable. Especially for a production website.

Why is that? Does 2.2 crash or is there some security flaws or is it the issue with some modules not working. What is the honest reason? In my opinion stable can mean many things.
