A feature I would like to see added to any modules providing rss feeds is the ability to specify servers through the admin menu to ping when a news/article is added. This will make life easier for those that provide regular rss feeds.

When editing an article in fckeditor it displays the xhtml code instead of just the content. How do I get fckeditor to display just the content without the tags?

Resolved the problem, I removed the recent items block, updated news again which removed the block, re-enabled the block, updated news once again and the block showed. weird:|

I tried that fix earlier but no luck:( It seems that template is corrupt on ours. Default is showing empty too. Tried deleting and uploading a new copy of the template. Entered the *void* too.

I have also run into the same problem with recent news and XOOPS 2.2. I searched through the forums and tried the suggested fixes. Selected categories and checked permissions but no articles show in the box. I've followed the upgrade txt in the past and reinstalled the module. Recent news still won't show.
You can view the recent items block here http://www.nuoss.org.uk, third from the top. I've run php debug but no errors are showing. Anyone have any further suggestions?
