Wow.
A potential solution.
Thank you.

I am running PHP version 4.3.6 locally.
I'll have to check what they are running on SourceForge where I am having the problem.

Do you happen to know what the particular feature in PHP v4.3 versus PHP v4.1 is the cause of the problem?

Again, thank you for helping to try and find a solution for we lowly user slime.
And for helping to debug this popular module.

Community - what a concept.

OK, I hereby promise not to use WF-Sections in a production environment.

Now - does any one know what is causing this?
What are the "minor bugs" which need to be fixed?
Obviously this is a known problem.

Does everyone have to solve it on their own - 500 times.
Or can someone bless the unholy low-lifes like me with some discussion on what the problem is.

I posted this yesterday in the WF-Section web site forum.
At that time, I noticed there did not appear to be any responses to any posts for over a week.
Many older posts have no response ever.
And there is nothing there discussing this particular problem.
Which is why I and others are posting here.

If you don't want anyone to try this out mod . . .
Why have a v2.0.1 available for download?
Why have a CVS with anonymous access?

What are people supposed to do with it? Please advise.

Perhaps there is another hapless user-scum out there who has
(1) already solved or identified this problem, and
(2) is nice enough to share their discovey.
Which would help out everyone, including the developers of this module.

Re: www.ppfans.com speed

I'm on a 3Mb cable modem and the site is too slow to use (from here).
I ran a trace which showed about 24 hops to get there.
Looks like the site is in China.
Node 21 was last one ID'd - on the east coast of China.
It may be OK for the user base in China.
Nicely built site.

The Persian Harry Potter site is quite attractive.
Don't even want to think about how to reverse everything like that.

XMovieTimes - where can I download?

I checked the Module Dev Forge.
Searched this site and the Dev site.
Googled.

Nothing.

Where is it?

Thanks.

phpCollab is an open-source internet-enabled collaboration workspace for project teams.

Modeled on Macromedia Sitespring, phpCollab architecture allows for the consulting team to share information with each other in one space and publish that information, when desired, to another space for the client.

phpCollab encompasses the most important aspects of project management, such as task planning and document sharing, and hooks into other open source applications for bug tracking and content management, for ongoing project support.

phpCollab's community, part of the larger SourceForge open source software community, is highly active and the dedicated volunteer team of developers, testers, and documenters is constantly enhancing the application to meet user needs.

Damaster

What project on SourceForge where you installed Xoops?

I would like to look at your installation as I am about to do the same thing.
I have found only one other SF project using XOOPS and it is an old version of Xoops.
http://xoopsforge.sourceforge.net/modules/news/

Any other tips on what to watch out for?

Thanks.

JMorris,

I am specifically discussing XoopForDummies and the XOOPS documentation project.
The XOOPS project is excellent and I, and many others, thank the many generous contributors.

Again:
I offer to update and publish the Visual Introduction.
Give me access to the documentation site, the original docs, the comments, and I will have it out in ONE WEEK.

Give me access to the documentation site and I will have XoopsForDummies on there available for download within 24 HOURS.

OK?
