iframe worked, but it also brought up a new problem. I imported an existing forum into the iframe. It works great, but the session for the forum and my XOOPS site get confused with one another. is there a way to make them 'play nice?'

My yabbse forum is pretty big, but I can't get it into xoops... I've tried for 12 hours :(

I really need it to be in the site... are there any solutions?

Okay, here's my problem:

I'm transferring my website onto the XOOPS platform. I have a Yabb SE forum with hundreds of users and thousands of posts that I cannot lose. Is there any possible way to get the info from Yabb SE into a bb that is supported by Xoops? I don't want to plug the Yabb SE bb into Xoops, I want to somehow transfer the data from the Yabb database to a place where XOOPS bb can use it and start from there...

If you know where I can find a helpful article about this, please tell me. Thanks!!

Okay, I'm really confused about populating the center of a zoops-based site with custom content. I can't figure out how to put a module there or how to put a custom php file there...

I have a link in my left-pane section called 'games'. I would like to populate the center section with information about a game I made (in a php file on my live website). How do I do this? Can someone show me some example code?

Okay, I did that, but I still have the same problem. When I roll my mouse over a 'whatever' link, I see <{xoops_url}> in my brower's bottom bar... the php isn't compiling. when I click on the link, I get an error... In the templates, the php seems to be translated into html, but this isn't happening for me.

Can I make my own template?
I have three custom menu blocks, and I need a custom menu template for each.

I tried putting PHP script in my custom menu blocks (As both html and php script), but as html, the code didn't compile, and as php, the code compiled, but my menu links dissappeared! Please help!

Here's my code:
<a class="menuTop" href="<{$xoops_url}>/index.php">Home</a><br>
<a class="menuTop" href="<{$xoops_url}>/games.php">Browse Games</a><br>

bah, answered my own question... must learn to trust in documentation!

...If you are trying to edit the theme.html in your themes folder and nothing seems to be changed, be sure that you set "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" to "YES" in General Settings!!...

p.s. i only temporarily deleted the contents if the theme.html file, don't worry, I haven't destroyed my site... yet... hehehe

Okay, I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I don't know how the theme.html files are used when my XOOPS site is generated.

For instance, I'm using the phpkaox theme (deleted the others). When ever I make a change in the phpkaox theme.html file, the change doesn't show up when I refresh my site. I've even deleted everything out of the theme.html file, then refreshed, just to see if the site crashes, but nothing, no change.

When I check my site's source code, I see that the phpkaox css file is referenced and that images from the phpkaox directory are being used, but table structures and color refs don't match the structure in the phpkaox theme.html file. Can anyone tell me when the theme.html file is used? I'm confused :P
