Re: [mini guide] How to quickly replace all the textarea with kiovi in Xoops

blueteen:

I updated like you said, updated system module but no difference. Somewhere else it might be defined?

UPDATE

What else I noticed: In Firefox this box shows up as 2 lines high in IE 1 line high. What defines for 2 browsers? Shouldn't be the same for both?

Re: xoopsgallery problem

After fiddling with all kinds of settings I finaly came to conclusion that I have permission problems. When I go to my xoopsgallery as anonymous, all pictures show up without problems, but when user logs in (any rank registered/moderator/admin) pictures/galleries missing letter "s" and garbage html as described before. All my galleries are private therefore enabling them as public is not an option. Could it be related to any system module permissions or xoopsgallery has it's own permission system?

Xoops 2.0.10
xoopsgallery 1.3.7 (just updated today)before that had 1.3.6 thats when all the problems started.

Re: [mini guide] How to quickly replace all the textarea with kiovi in Xoops

One more little annoying thing. When I click html box the box which used to be about 10 lines vertical shrinks to a single line, therefore to edit code is almost impossible. How do I make this box larger after I click html?

Re: [mini guide] How to quickly replace all the textarea with kiovi in Xoops

The only bad effect is that Kiovi has a problem with saving html data, it ads it's own formating on top of your html. Therefore code does not work. When you click on html box and paste html code Kiovi doesn't save the content. I had to make some custom blocks with google ads, amazon etc. a couple of times I managed to save on a NEW BLOCK ONLY, but no luck on created, saved or edited before. I had to:

1: tick html box
2: paste code
3: tick html box
4: save the block

But as I mentioned if this block was created before and you try to edit, it wouldn't save or update html content.

Re: Kiovi editor wont let showing Google ads

Well, I was trying that html box, but it just wouldn't save any input doesn't matter what you click

I managed to save input only when I have entered manualy without html.

what I did:
1: Click html
2: Paste code
3: Save
Nothing
3: Click html box
Nothing
3: Click html input some info like "test" click again html
"test" shows up
4: Kiovi does not work.
5:Live with it or wait for a fix

Thanks pdajunkee but I can't figure this one out with Kiovi not that many blocks so I'll just manualy edit sql for now.

Re: Kiovi editor wont let showing Google ads

I do believe that was the problem, because when I went directly to sql database and manualy entered the code it works fine. What I noticed though was that regular text that was entered through Kiovi editor was shown like that in sql window, you must get rid off all the garbage:
<script type="text/javascript"><!--<br />google_ad_client
"pub-0065533172544930";<br />google_ad_width 160;<br
/>google_ad_height 600;<br />google_ad_format
"160x600_as";<br />google_ad_type "text_image";<br
/>google_ad_channel ="";<br />google_color_border
"336699";<br />google_color_bg "FFFFFF";<br
/>google_color_link "0000FF";<br />google_color_url
"008000";<br />google_color_text "000000";<br
/>//--></script><br /><script type="text/javascript"<br />
src="<a
href="
http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js</a>"><br

/></script></script>

Therefore I'm asking, is there possibility to get rid of the garbage and paste the code as it is in Kiovi editor.

Kiovi editor wont let showing Google ads

I had a google ads working fine till I decided to update them. I made custom block with folowing code:
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client "pub-clientnumber";
google_ad_width 160;
google_ad_height 600;
google_ad_format "160x600_as";
google_ad_type "text_image";
google_ad_channel ="";
google_color_border "336699";
google_color_bg "FFFFFF";
google_color_link "0000FF";
google_color_url "008000";
google_color_text "000000";
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript"

src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</
script>

Saved it as html and this shows me the code only. The only thing what is different from other site where the same code works (I removed client ID though) I made Kiovi editor as default editor on this one. Is there a possibility to go around it? I've tried updating system module but no luck.

I like Kiovi editor and would not like to get rid of it, therefore would like to know, can I find this Custom block in database and directly insert the code there? Will it work like that? I'm almost positive that Kiovi editor does something in the background to the code unless I'm missing something obvious there...

Re: Xoops and subdomains?

I'm using multiple subdomains exactly as you. Different XOOPS installations, different databases and there are no problems on a single one of them. As I mentioned before, subdomain is not an issue here. Check your modules and permissions on a folder. When you upload to a server under what user you upload? All web files should be accessed by username apache therefore those files should belong to that user as well. Do for a single directory
chmod apache *
or if you want all files and subdirectories under it execute this command from your xoops_root_directory
chmod -R apache *

EDIT

By the way, piCal newest version is not .7 it's .8 and it can be found http://www.peak.ne.jp/xoops/

Re: Xoops and subdomains?

Since you are just creating another instance of XOOPS site you do not have to worry about subdomains or anything like that. I have noticed that your pathhttp://bombinamd.billandsuyah.info/xoops/html/index.php has xoops/html. Even though it's perfectly legal, I do not think that was your intention. You should move everything tohttp://bombinamd.billadsuyah.info. So, depending where you host you should edit your httpd.conf file and point bombinamd.billadsuyah.info to some folder then update your dns to point to that location and try to do a system update. As I said, this is just another XOOPS installation and you do not have to look at subdomain stuff. Just straight forward XOOPS and module install. And since your site works, you should look into module install. Try to update modules, look into module forums etc.

Regards, Gediminas
