hi, i had the same problem with a new installation. After a few hours and multiple headaches i found out that the reason was the utf-8 encoding i used in the global.php language file! after i changed it to iso gain it worked fine!!! Have no clue why this is happenning and cant use the utf-8 encoding in any of my sites!

It's like that right now and i'm still getting these messages!I really dont know what is wrong with it . Tried reinstalling the module as well and yet nothing seems to change! Very nice module though!Excellent idea to work on wflinks. Keep up the good work! And thanks for the fast replies!

The paths are set like that

/modules/xoopstube/images
/uploads/xt_images/screenshots

etc.

tried including the leading slash at the end of each path, doesnt work either...

The folders exist and the ones in the upload directory are chmoded to 777. Any ideas why this is happenning?

SmartMedia and flv player

Hi

i'd like to embed an flv player (JW flv player) in the smartmedia module, does anybody know how i can do that? the player works but when i insert the {CLIP_URL} variable after the file= so that it will fetch the appropriate clip it doesnt load!

All other clip formats are using this kind of code

blah blah blah
src="{CLIP_URL}"

Where as the flv player includes in the brackets the file= and i suppose that is why it's not working properly.

I posted a question in smartfactory.ca but haven't got any answers! Actually I have posted a few questions there without getting any replies!!! I guess they are pretty bussy at the momment!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

very nice tweeking indeed!Excellent work! Why not making it a module to replace the current one for profiles this way people wont have to move to a new XOOPS update unless they really want to! I have made several tweeks and hacks in my XOOPS site (mostly taken from here:)) and unfortunately havent kept a log! Currently i run 2.0.16, and i really need to consider it really hard to move into 2.0.17, unless there is a dramatic change in the look-core-security etc.

Very very nice work though and cleverly done!

It will really make a community site look like one! It's exactly what XOOPS needs!

You deserve lots of credits slyss! Well done!

I did have the same problem a couple of times with some modules. That solved my problem...in case there are tables in the database those can be manually erased as well! It's easy to identify them. Anyway try anything you like! Its not that serious as it seems

Hallo there,

1. erase the folder from the modules directory.

2. rename the 'phantom' installed modules to something that you will identify later (rename them to "erase this" "erase that" or something)

3. go to phpmyadmin and look for the table xoops_modules. In there you should find the renamed 'phantoms'. Erase them and you are done.

4. Start a fresh module upload and installation.

5. Good luck :)

PS: Anyway to work for msnm and yim in the user info perhaps?
