Re: MyAlbum-P 2.07 pop-up image is wrong size

Ah, I found the solution!

I checked out :

http://www.peak.ne.jp/xoops/modules/xhnewbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=294&forum=2

and found the solution.

Bascially, if you get this problem when batch registering photos in MyAlbum-P, you need to do a 'rebuild thumbnails' routine to get the photos the right size.

In the MyAlbum-P admin, click on 'rebuild thumbnails' select the 'resize bigger photos than the pixels specified in current preferences' option and click the 'next' button.

If you want to process more than 10 images at a time, change the default 10 to a higher number. It's good to start at record 0 or 1 and work your way up to process all the photos in increments. the record number will update automatically after each batch edit.

hope it helps,

happy XOOPing

MyAlbum-P 2.07 pop-up image is wrong size

When I batch register photos and upload them using MyAlbum-P 2.07, the pop-up images are the wrong size. In the main album, if I click on a medium-size image to view it full-size, I get a small pop-up window and a tiny thumbnail image - not the full-size image.

However, if I submit the photos manually one by one, when I click a medium-size photo in the main album, I get the full-size image in the pop-up window.

Has anyone else had this problem? any solutions?

please advise,

Re: istats / Web Stats 2.1 displays wrong time

I've had a some correspondence with the author. He says that IStats uses the server timezone to enter data into the database via functions in the counter.php file.
I think, if there's a way to offset the time with the default XOOPS timezone as it's entered into the database, the problem would be solved.
I had a look at the XOOPS API docs and there is a UserTimeToServerTime() function available (but not a ServerTimeToUserTime() function! maybe it could be used to convert the time before input to the database.
In the meantime, I'm using Istats, but stats based on my timezone would be more meaningful to me. I await future developments.

Re:Can't post new topic when using Firefox

Thanks for your reply!
I'm happy to say that the problem I was having posting from Firefox has mysteriously vanished. Perhaps it was a cache problem. In any case, Firefox is humming along nicely, a great browser. I hope it takes over the world! way better than IE.

How do you get current users timezone?

I'd like to get the current user's selected timezone (user>edit profile) to offset the GMT time in a custom function. The default timezone would be helpful too. Is there an easy way to refer to the user's or the default timezone?

any help appreciated.

istats / Web Stats 2.1 displays wrong time

I have installed istats (a great module!) however, on the main page the current time is wrong.
The date is correct but the time is not (it says 6:20am but its 8:33pm)
I have set the server timezone in general preferences to match my hosts web server (-5.00) and the default timezone to Japan time (+9.00) where I'm located.
How can I get the time to display correctly?

any help appreciated.

Can't post new topic when using Firefox

I'm using Firefox (and I love it)

However, when I try to post a new topic, I get an SQL insert error :

Insert topic error:INSERT INTO x_bb_topics (topic_id, topic_title, topic_poster, forum_id, topic_time, poster_name, approved) VALUES (0, 'administration menu link does not appear on user menu', 26388, 7, 1099881777, '', 1)

I'm forced to use IE to post a new topic.

what's the story?

any suggestions?

administration menu link does not appear on user menu

Hi peoples,

I created a new user with restricted admin privileges.
When I log on as that user, I do not get the administration menu link on appearing on the user menu.

If I link to the admin page manually (tiny event) then I can administer the events section.

I would like the link to appear on the user menu. How can I do this?

Please advise,

David Thomas.

custom block php include problem

Hi peoples,

I'm having trouble displaying PHP include content in a custom block.

If I use this code :
include('randomquote\L3Kanji_quote.php');
and save the block as a php script, I get a blank block.

If I enclose the code in php tags and save the block as HTML, I can preview the correct content using the preview button, but when submitted, nothing appears in the block.

Can someone shed some light on this problem?
thanks,
David Thomas.
