The reason that it isn't changing automatically is because the files are all cached. So this means that every few hours, or minutes until the cache expires, the theme is still the same. The configuration that brash explains is common for theme developers to use, because it basically turns off the caching of the themes.

To answer #1...

You need to go into your database and remove the table that is named xoops_tutorials_votedata. It's not letting you install the new version because the installer thinks that there is already a version other than the one you are installing. The removal of the original module must have forgotten to include the specified table for deletion. So try deleting the table, then try to install the new module.

CHMOD is a command in the unix/linux platform that modifies the permissions of a file. All the person is trying to say is to change the permissions to full control on the file.

You need to actually modify the Group permissions for the Anonymous group. If the block that you have created is set to being visible, then there should be a checkbox to allow the group to view that certain block. Let me know if you have anymore problems.

If I were you, I would:

1. Go into your database.
2. Browse the table xoops_config.
3. Modify the record for debug_mode.
4. Change the value that is in the conf_value field to 1.
5. Troubleshoot any errors that appear while trying to do the actions that you explained above.

**The actions above, should turn on PHP Debug mode.

I am running 1.0 Preview Release, and I have had no problems viewing those themes. What version of XOOPS are you using? I loaded the ps2_wide and xbox_wide themes, and both showed just like normal in Firefox. Also, what kind of problems are you seeing with Firefox on the theme?....explain a little on what looks wrong about the theme.

You can actually disable the modules so that nobody can use them. The way to do this is go to:

First click on Administration Menu
Then hover the System icon.
Next, click on Modules.
Then, for each module that you want to disable, uncheck the checkbox in the column for Active.
Then click the Submit button.
