I need to add 1 basic html index page?

Hi Guys,

I have modules set for my site but I need to add my own index/home page.... HOW?

I added a HTML block but this is a bit restrictive as it includes the stlye of the rest of the site ie. the header block etc.

Can anyone help as I do not want to install another module just to get one page.

Short URL*
When using the SEO features of this module, you can specify a Short URL for this article. This field is optional.

How do you use this to get the url to be SEO friendly as I have changed the name etc but the url stays the same?

How do I redirect to the index after refused entry?

At present when someone tries to enter my private forum they get directed to the login page but i want them to go the index instead?

where would I find the module title ie as below. (SmartFAQ)

SmartFAQ
In this area of our site, you will find the answers to the frequently asked questions, as well as answers to How do I and Did you know questions.

Looked in all the language files etc but just find it.

do I need to change only the mainfile.php or do I change the mainfile.dis.php as well,

just swapped all over & oh dear what a mess!

the css. file obviously hasn't been found.

Hi,

no I didn't mean a url re-direct...

Do I take all the contents out of the XOOPS folder & put that straight onto the public_html folder and change the mainfile.php to suit...

define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/mnt/vol1/home/c/a/******/public_html');

('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.mysite.com');

loosing the /xoops
