A lot of the old admin preferences is missing, like turning my site on/off for example. If I go to mysite.com/admin.php it keeps redirecting to common utilities so I can't turn my site back on - lol

I installed "MyWords" and published a test post and got:

In user admin when I click on "Add" (top left) I get:
Fatal error: Call to a member function groups() on null in /home/mysite/public_html/modules/rmcommon/users.php on line 303

Notice: Undefined variable: user in file /modules/rmcommon/users.php line 303

Any Ideas?

Hi, I've just installed Common Utilities and I'm a bit confused. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. I followed the install instruction and got 2 errors on admin page:
Warning: file_get_contents(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in file /modules/rmcommon/themes/helium/admin-gui.php line 184

Warning: file_get_contents(http://mysite.com/modules/rmcommon/themes/helium/images/logo-he.svg): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in file /modules/rmcommon/themes/helium/admin-gui.php line 184


Do I have to create a new theme for this module? Blocks page is empty with no structure. Does it not work with Bootstrap? What am I missing?

Hi, has anyone tried the MyLinks module with Xoops2.5.8?

MyLinks 3.11 RC4 is the latest version I have. I found this on GitHub:https://github.com/XoopsModules25x/mylinks but can't find a version number so don't know if it's better than the version I have.

XOOPS Version XOOPS 2.5.7.2 - I want to upgrade to 2.5.8
PHP Version 5.6.22
mySQL Version 5.6.30

XOOPS Version - XOOPS 2.5.7.2
PHP Version - 5.6.22
mySQL Version - 5.6.30
OS - Linux

Hi, I understand this is a major release and I'm getting a little confused.

I have quite a few live production sites that I want to upgrade to 2.5.8. I notice that some modules have been updated specifically for 2.5.8 and so my question is should I update the modules first or update the core and then the modules? - Or, am I over thinking it and it doesn't matter.

Modules:
System - 2.11
Private Messaging - 1.1 Final
User Profile - 1.86 Final
Mastop Go2 - 1.02 Final
Xoops Tag - 2.31 Final
Publisher - 1 Final
eXtGallery - 1.12 Beta 1
Contact 2.22 Beta 1
Protector - 3.52 Final

I have a test site that I have tried but got blank pages during the upgrade with no errors.

Installed the mysqli extension on my server and everything is now working as it should
