I have been posponing a post for a little while as I did a post with comments on the XOSC module.

But I have similar problem, HOWEVER, the xosc module seems to work (at least past this point) on a 2.0.13a install of XOOPS but on a 2.2.5 it fails with no pictures (like a duplicate of directory structure in the link) same thing when I attempt to create an account I get:

Not Found
The requested URL /modules/osC/OSC_URL/modules/osC/create_account.php was not found on this server.

So in my mind it looks like the module is adding a path as well as XOOPS core adding a path?
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

FYI I am running a hack ver of XOOPS being Simple XOOPS which has a multisite hack and autologin hacks applied, I have a different thead I am working with to sort out multi-site. (Yes Chris, I have been watching your threads on multi-site hack 2.2.3 also and has given me ideas on how to get simple XOOPS working for me as it is in german, the multisite hack that is, So if anyone wants to translate for me? Fantastic, if not.. well I keep babelfishing).

Site 1 Seitenverwaltung tab showed the multi site profile, while after adding the folder manually site 2 did not, neither in the Profilfelder bearbeiten tab either.... after refreshing the install (through the modules admin) it suddenly showed up (along with 2 others I had tried to add, I did notice my sql database starting to grow more prefixes). After doing this on site 2 I go the drop down menu under tab 3.

So moral of this story is:
If you are running PHP safe-mode then you need to add the FOLDER(s) manually and refresh the install via the modules admin.

Well just when I was about to give up and put it in the too hard bin, I made the above discovery... amazing!

Ok, I get the idea that they want you to update the system module on the master site, but update what part of the system module?

BTW the adding the chmod'ed 777 folder for the site stopped the error of php safe-mode.

I might put on the back burner for a few hours.. play a few games then come back to it. Hopefully by then someone can tell me what it all means :)

Hmm.. I think I know what it is saying and most people may not come across this...

Well I got two sites running, but need to learn to link em now... btw I did have issues with a theme with the meta refresh (ie redirect when you log out/in/invalid/etc, it is listed in the FAQs how to fix some themes as it took me a few days to work out why it was not redirecting, you can look at posts by me and you will see it (not my answer just a thankyou to bandit-x).

Ok, been palying with two sites trying to get them together with users.... boy what fun...

So far I have played with babelfish a lot.... it has helped me work out the admin menus.... here is what I have thus far (it is still a little rough as I have had to add a few words) but it should help as a reference to the admin console of the multi-site for smart xoops:

Yes it works for me, I had a customised theme working fine in ver 2.0.x but when I started to use 2.2.5a the meta refresh was not listed in the generated code! I started to look at the code as comparisions with default but it was a little too different with the layouts. The Springtime theme was the parent of the modified theme so I thought I would try using the original theme my theme was edited from and it also failed (it seems to be more of a 2.2.x issue) hence I started to look at the FAQs on editing themes as I was going to edit the default to do something similar to the modified theme and lo and behold I stumbled on this (but a few other not so applicable FAQs), so all I can say at the moment is thankyou very very very much.
