Hm, thanks - this should do it, at the very least the XOOPS community will know if it works. Real quick though, is that line (// define("XOOPS_THEME_PATH", XOOPS_ROOT_PATH."/themes");) supposed to be commented out? I've got 6 lines including that one commented out, and I didn't do it.

I see this tag in my theme.html files: <{$xoops_imageurl}>.
How can the value of this variable (or tag, whatever it's called) be changed? I would like to take it and append .nyud.net:8080 to it in a project I'm working on that should use minimum bandwidth. Putting this in will get all the images from the coral cache. I just don't know where to change it.

I just joined (i've been meaning to for awhile). Has anyone tried to put their charts onto their site? That thing is absurdly slow. Have any of you found a better way of accomplishing the same task, but without ruining your load time?

Need Suggestions for Charity-related project

Last fall I was involved with the quakehelp.net project (we managed to gather and send over 5 tons of sleeping bags and tents to the earthquake victims in Pakistan and India from collection points in 6 states). That was....quite an undertaking, and we learned and experienced a lot of the pitfalls of organizing a charity campaign online. What I'm working on is "packaging" a XOOPS install with a lot of standard modules and some good documentation to allow others to do this a LOT easier than we did (we were all Rochester Institute of Technology students with some great faculty guidence, and it was still a rough ride). So what I'm doing is taking it and configuring it with some modules (wiki, usermap, forums, etc) with a decent theme and some docs and packing it up with the sql dump files. The only thing I need help with is I would like to integrate Google Maps with it, and the module is....confusing me. If anyone has a second and can give me a quick explanation of what it even is, i would be grateful. Also, I would appreciate any suggestions on my little project. My goal is to make it as easy and quick as possible for someone to get a project like that up and running.

I worked an ecards script into one of my sites. I personally think it looks like crap, but the script works very nicely. If someone better than me with PHP (just about all of you) had a couple hours they could probably work the script into a module (the script is in php, and isn't overly complex, I just suck). The script itself is here: Graphics by Greg and falls under the GPL. If someone wants to do it, I'll help as much as I can, and can host it for downloads etc.

well, the Xoops.org site uses XOOPS - and it's really busy. I don't think that I've personally seen less than 150 people on here. If you do a search for the biggest or busiest XOOPS sites there is a thread detailing some of the biggest ones. As for the database errors, that would seem to be a problem with your database itself, not with XOOPS (as it's your database that's throwing the error, not the webserver).

I'm using the Wordpress module (1.52) and I'm having a problem with RSS. It keeps showing up in my logs as a 404 error couldn't find modules/wordpress/feed/. What would do this? Did I screw up the installation?

I had this problem too - it kicked me around for a week and I gave up. If anybody has any suggestions, I would be able to use this module again. There may be a better way to make a movie times module.

(twizted, did you just get a blank page, or did you get an error message?)

That's interesting - and someone yell at me if i'm wrong, but judging by the path it looks like you should clear the cache and try it? I would also check all the permissions - an incorrectly chmodded script can ruin your whole night.
