Thanks Feneex, I think I'll probably have my work cut out for me sorting this. My site is umm.. of an adult nature! so I get a lot of "NO's" from other people search engines etc LOL..

set it via groups dude, so that the Webmaster & Registered groups get add poll access but the unregistered group only get access to view

only admin can see it.

gotohttp://www.thedogboard.com/user.php and if you are the administraor once you "log in" you should see the words "administration" or something like that in your Users Block.

In your log in box dude, where it says:
Log In
Password

that's all u have to do.

when you are logged in, you'll see the administration link

I click the forum tab and I get the 6 forums (what I belived was called categories, maybe wrong).

i.e. welcome (in welcome should be announcements, rules & regs and feedback)

General Chat (in which should be movies, auto's, I.T, music) etc and so on.

yep, until it's all ok, I have set everyone with 100% access so I don't have to worry about setting permissions etc for the moment.

when I go to my forum it just looks crappy aswell, my 6 categories are just the titles i.e. welcome, general chat, hot chat, unexplained, active chat and guestplus are each on a single grey line with a + and - sign next to them.

Also, at the top it says I have
`Total Topics: 15 | Total Posts: 24`

That's about right but none of them are viewable, but they are all set correct.

On the blue drop down box, if you click the "View un replied threads" option you get:
