ams and news module together

i'm currrently using AMS for the online version of our church's publication. but i'm planning to install a news module to display current news articles/updates that are not included/published in the online publication. it is okay to install another similar module like NEWS module? Will there be no conflict? Or is there a way this can be done using the existing AMS module?

i've already successfully installed over 10 modules in my site, is this not a problen with wf-quotes itself?

when i tried to create a category and clicked the "Create" button, a blank page is displayed and nothing happens?

what could be the problem here? thanks...

i'm looking for a module (and i hope there is an existing one). that would display a different text( can be a "on this day from history", words of wisdom, proverbs. etc.) on a particular block every day(not random). The text would come from a database that would contain a specific/different text everyday of the year.

does it it make a difference if i set the wrong server time zone? how do i run that script?
i also installed the Agenda x module and it displayed a date that's one day behind, does this have something to do with my server timezone setting or with the module itself?

this is under system admin/preferences (xoops control panel)
i have a question re server timezone and default timezone. I set the default timezone to +8 becuase i'm from the phils., what should be my server timezone?is it the same as my default timezone?
i'm asking this question becuase i installed the analog clock module, althouhg it displayed te correct time, it didplayed AM instead of PM.
