the domain name is boashouse.com. I tried changing the root path and url but now it says the db connection failed.

Hi.

I have hosted a XOOPS site in one server and I decided to move to another provider, Bluehost. I uploaded the home directory and my sql backup of my site and asked my previous provider to initiate the dns transfer. When I loaded my site, I got this error.

"XOOPS path check: Script is not inside XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and cannot run."

One live chat support staff member said this error would be gone if the DNS transfer was completed. The site didnt run for five days so I contacted them again and they stated that the DNS transfer was complete. Then how come this error has not disapeared? Did i do something wrong? If so, how do I correct this? Please give specific instructions.

One change that I noticed was that the ftp address changed from just mydomainname.com to ftp.mydomainname.com after i went to the new provider. does this have anything to do with this error?

I have uploaded Frameworks and xoopseditors but I am lost on how to convert from newbb 2.02 to CBB and how not to lose any data. If there is any tutorial, please give me a link. If not, please offer instructions on doing this upgrade from newbb to CBB 3.08. Thanks.

Yes. I am using the 2.0.16 and my newbb version is 2.02. Has there been a more recent version of newbb?

I am currently using the newbb module as my forum in the latest version of xoops. However, I have been noticing some flaws in my forum lists. Unsticky topics are in the sticky section and change around when a new topic is posted. I tried syncing the forum several times but this didnt seem to help. I also tried stickying and unstickying the topic but was futile. I'm not sure what to do and I request someone's help. Thanks alot.

I asked my host and he said "The DB table session is corrupt. I dont know how to fix for now."

Please help. I'm really lost in what to do.. Will uploading a backup fix things??

hmm. nothing seems to be wrong.. I reuploaded the default session confirm but nothing changed..

using firefox i managed to get into the admin menu but everything i click under system admin, multimenu refers to session confirm and gives me a blank page. Same with the forum, i can access but if i click on any forum, it refers to session confirm and gives me a blank page. please help..

actually.. just basically everything leads to session_confirm.php.. i don't know what to do cause I can't really do anything..

This is what I get when I click on any of the forums. After this it just goes to session_confirm.php and gives me a blank page..

Hi. I own the site www.boashouse.com

Suddenly, no one could log in to the site except a few people. When I log in, it says thanks for logging in, then when the next window loads, im not logged in. I tried with my registered user test id and that didnt work either. Members are emailing me that they can't log in either, and I don't know what the problem is and I can't do anything about it since I can't log in to my admin account. Please help. I'm at a loss of what to do.

I have been using XOOPS well for 2 years and did not have this problem until last week when I had the same problem. It was resolved by itself in a few hours but it is happening again. I used the latest XOOPS version well since it came out.
Xoops Version: .16 (latest version)
Kernel version 2.6.9-42.0.3.ELsmp
Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)
PERL version 5.8.7

The test id is

please help. Thank you. (it might be resolved again in a few hours and sorry if it is fixed but if it doesnt, I need your help. Hopefully there is a way to stop this from happening again.)

XOOPS. please integrate these features!

1) There are forums such as discussion forums, in which people spam and spam to bring up their "user ranks". I would really appreciate it if XOOPS integrated an option to the newbb module(forum) in which the admin can choose whether the posts "count" or "add-on" as a post in their id. I think the myalbum module has this option too. They can choose if posting a photo counts as a post or not or even choose how many posts it counts for. I have a "word-game" forum but I do not wish to count it as posts, but rather as a have-fun spamming zone. please integrate this option to your forums.

2) I dont quite understand why XOOPS doesnt integrate the "remember me" option to the core. Isnt this a crucial function needed for all XOOPS sites? why dont you guys integrate it so we can just check it off instead of downloading all these confusing hacks. Please take this into consideration. thank you.
