I just wanted to let everyone know that I downloaded Drupal yesterday and it is fantastic. The Developers walk me through it like I was ontheir team, and I'm really satisfied.

DRUPAL >>>http://drupal.org/

I also sent them a donation, which they are very thankful. You know guys, this will never be possible if people did not donate. So I make it a point to send in at least one hundred dollars.

Anyway, what does XOOPS! have to do with this?

Well, the recent release has totally destroyed my confidence in XOOPS! So I needed an easy way out of this. I'm glad I choose to download Drupal. The Developers there are really nice. They don't loud mouth you like they do over here. They listen with intent interests and they will let you wipe the floors with them until you get results.

I like that!

There isn't the same kind of restrictions that you see on these forums. People are free to express their point of view NO MANNER WHAT! And that's why I'm eventually going to phase out XOOPS!

The potential of having a great XOOPS! was noticable in pasttime, however, that has changed over the recent months. You got a whole bunch of developers who shouting at members for just bringing out concerns and throwing their weight around.

It's terrible. I felt like crying.. but I held up. I wasn't going to let a few clownies ruin my whole day.

I decide not to pursue the legal thing.. Too costly! Much easier to go to DRupal.. YUMMY! And wash all these frustrating headaches away.

Isn't that exciting? I don't read messages about me not being civilized or proper enough. I still did not get an answer, but I know the Developer is a HATER!

Well.... I guess that's all folks!

Good bye XOOPS!

I found this reading about PHP MYADMIN:

[1.1] I'm running PHP 4+ and my server is crashing each time a specific action is required or phpMyAdmin sends a blank page or a page full of cryptic characters to my browser, what can I do?
There are some known PHP bugs with output buffering and compression.
Try to set the $cfg['OBGzip'] directive to FALSE in your config.inc.php file and the zlib.output_compression directive to Off in your php configuration file.
Furthermore, we know about such problems connected to the release candidates of PHP 4.2.0 (tested with PHP 4.2.0 RC1 to RC4) together with MS Internet Explorer. Please upgrade to the release version PHP 4.2.0.

Just like the FAQ page concerning blank pages, it tell you what you need to do, but doesn't explain how to get there to do it.

Because of my limited knowledge, I'm unable to understand what to do to solve the blank page problem.

Can someone explain in lay term on how to go about access these files?

the 1.3 full version works on my system but the 2.0 full version does not work without displaying a blank page.

Another thing, the 1.3 full version is fine if I don't add anything to it like modules and themes which I truly need.

My webhosting company provided me these specifications:

PHP 4.3.10
Apache 1.3.33
MySQL 4.0.23

I just want to make sure it would work, if not, please let me know.

Anyway, I read the chapter about correcting a blank page but was very confused.

It talked about Query and a data base but it wasn't really specific. Can someone walk me through this area.

Thanks!

I tried several times to get the 2.0 version to work (reinstalling several times), but it keeps displaying a BLANK page. What can I do to correct the problem. Thanks for your help!

I had the same problem.

Everything was working fine after installing this "upgrade". Now the whole news section is out. BLANK PAGE!!!

I'm very disappointed!

It looks like if I don't do nothing, everything will be fine, but once I add something, for instance, like a module or an upgrade, the entire page becomes BLANK!

I have already put countless hours on the news section, and this CRAP happens!!!!

I should have known better not to have saved those files before I made the initial "upgrade."

If I would have done that, I could have maintain all the work I did.

I even manage to get a new theme to work. SHUCKS!

(THIS WAS AFTER I DOWNLOADED A PREVIOUS MODULE THAT RESULTED IN A BLANK PAGE! AS A RESULT, I HAD TO START COMPLETELY OVER: Delete and create new server name and delete and reinstall the program. As always, the first time it didn't work, but I'm a patient guy! I kept working at it until I got the system back up. I know this program would have cost me thousand of dollars if I was to buy a license, but the MAN hours that went into it is pretty frustrating, don't you think?)

The manual that came with this upgrade claims that it was going to maintain all these settings, but the reverse happens.

I was so ignorant not to save those files.

I even made a donation earlier because I was amazed by this new program.

Can someone tell me why these "upgrades" are resulting in blank pages?

Can you recommend a quick fix. i have spent my whole weekend trying to get this program to work to no avail.
