I noticed that in some versions of Firefox the "Delete picture" button doesn't show. I think in IE it always is shown?

In that case, you onmly need MultiMenu....

Check this site, in the main menu you see a link "Rehoming" which connects to a specific News category.

The menu "Information" is build with MultiMenu. It links to TinyContent pages, but you also can create links to News categories.

So you can create a menu for each club, and add submenus which link to the News category and other items that are for that club.

Take a look at MultiMenu, you can build a custom menu for each club with a link to the News category for that specific club.

Edit mainfile.php with the settings of your new webhost, in this case the physical path of your XOOPS installation.

If you don't know the physical path, ask your webhost.

And search on this site for the error, you will get a lot of results.

We have had the same problem, our account was suspended by our host!

This has nothing to do with Xoops, but with a reverse DNS problem in MySQL.

Start MySQL without reverse DNS and the problem is solved. You can disable DNS hostname lookups by starting mysqld with the --skip-name-resolve option. However, in this case, you can use only IP numbers in the MySQL grant tables.

I had to find this out by myself and tell our webhost, and the problem was fixed.

That's a very old version, you are in urgent need of an upgrade.

However, I'm not sure which upgrade path you need to follow. Maybe someone else can tell you.

On the other hand, it's hard to find modules and themes on the Xaraya site.

I think the left menu on Xoops.org is better. Direct links to what you look for.

My opinion on the Xaraya site: Looks are good, but hard to find the things you want.

I also experienced slow loading, apperently caused by some routes.

At work my site loaded very slowly, at home very fast. Now my host has moved the servers to another location (Redbus, Amsterdam) and now it's loading fast from each location.

It's definitely not XOOPS which is slow!
