Greetings -

Since the xoops.org website got hacked the avatar faces have been missing.

I have a nice zip file with all the faces. I was planning to add them as avatars for my web site, I just have not goten around to it.

However, I was wondering if any of the support inviduals of xoops.org wanted this file to replace the ones that are missing.

If there is any interest I need an email to mail so I can send this zip file.

Greetings -

I have had several individuals that have created an account using an email account from one of those generic mail services that gives them total anonymity.

Is there a way to prevent registration from a specific domain?

For example I want to prevent registration from gmail.com, hotmail.com, etc.

Thanks In Advance.

Greetings -

Create an additional radio button on top that says "Please select an (a-d) choice bellow" or something similar.

That way you can also test for a non-response.

Hope That Helps.

Greetings LazyBadger -

Thank you for the response.

You are correct. The sites that are being referred are of the advertising kind. Things that I have no interest in.

I have already taken the statistics page away for anonymous users.

How do I go about doing the IP ban?

Thanks In Advance.

Greetings -

I had a problem with the statistics module referrer's page being hit by lots of anonymous individuals during the end of last month and at the begining of this month.

At the beginning of this month this access to the referrer's information used up all of the bandwith by July 11th. The only thing that I could think of is that the referers information is being webscraped for some reason. Needless to say, the module is no longer ascessible by anonymous users.

The reason I am posting this information is...

1) heads up, this might be a problem for XOOPS users.

2) has anyone else experienced this problem?

3) can someone use the referrer information for not so nice uses?

Anyone that is got any information about this problem please post back to this thread.

Thanks In Advance.

Greetings -

Are there any other options besides SmartFTP?

When I atempt to download the complete site to a local hard drive I am plagued by host connection timeouts.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Thanks In Advance.

Greetings -

The webslave has a problem:

Fatal error: Cannot re-assign $this in D:\apache2triad\htdocs\modules\wsproject\class\core.php on line 88

The todo module 2.1 is not showing all the fields on the form. So entering the data on the enttry fields and submiting a form gets you an error message about a date field being blank that is not on the form and therefore can not be entered. Deadline is one of the date fields missing.

Also the calendar button does not do anything except clear the form in the same manner as the clear button does.

The 1.6 version has the same problems.

Or I have missed something really obvious in the todo module installation.

Hope That Helps.
