Request hack: Make "Top News" show from 2nd latest articles

Hi all,

as above, i would like for the block "Top news" to start showing the articles from the 2nd latest instead of the latest news. This is becuase i already got the latest news under "Spotlight" block.

Is this possible with a small hack or sort? Many thanks in advance

Btw, i'm using News v1.21

You have to delete them first, then the "generate" option will appear.

Okay, i have already updated my system module. So after overwriting the files and updating the system module i'm all set right?

Btw, just to clarify, all i have to do is unzip and overwrite the files if i'm upgrading from 2.0.73 to 2.0.9 yea? No need to update system module or anything thereafter?

Hello, thanks for the comments. Is that done by editing the CSS and making the width of the table to something like 90%? Pardon me i'm not exactly good with CSS and just manage to understand enough to get my site up. Hehe.

Hello all!

Firstly, i'd like to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Okay, that been said, let's get on to the main topic heh.

Over the past month i have been experimenting/hacking/figuring out XOOPS and have found it to be a VERY useful CMS. The support in the forums in unmatched elsewhere and the modules avaliable are simply awesome. Without all this, my site would not be possible today.

Anyhow, i have recently set up a site for the automotive/car enthusiasts in Singapore(where i live)! I hope that my site will be successful and i want to thank XOOPS again for making this possible.

Guys, please take whatever remaining time off you have on Christmas and just drop my site a visit. All comments and suggestions are welcome!

I know it's being a long post but yeah, have a great christmas!!!

Hello all,

just wondering if it was possible to make the "Top News" block for News module v1.21 show news starting with STORY ID 2 instead of 1. i want to do this because i have story ID 1 under "Spotlight" and it is rather weird for it to come up again under "Top News".

Many thanks in advance if anyone knows the code alteration or hack.
