I tried to find Simplified URL 1.04, but no luck.

I tried the following link:

http://www.suin.jp/modules/mydownloads/visit.php?cid=3&lid=9

but I couldn't connect.

Would you be able to send me the Simplified URL 1.04 module?

Admin Only Login - but anon users submit news, etc......

Hi All

I'd like to have only Admin and specified users to have the ability to login or even create an account, but I would still like to allow anonymous users to submit news and all the other things.

Is this possible?

Also, could I rename www.site.com/user.php to something not too obvious to prevent the login page from being found?

www.site.com/0asdf09.php (maybe?)

Only the shopping system on the site would do user registration. I'm afraid having different user logins would get confusing. That's why I want to restrict to user registration to just the shopping system.

Xoops 2.0.10

I've been reading about ShortURL and Simplified URL, and I'm trying to sort out what is current and what the differences are.

ShortURL does this:

[Default]http://www.domain.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1279
[Converted]http://www.domain.com/article1279.html

Simplified URL does this:

[Default]http://xoops_site/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1
[Converted]http://xoops_site/news+article.storyid+1.htm

1. Is the ShortURL outcome better?

2. Do both hacks work with XOOPS 2.0.10?

3. I read about ShortURL 0.3, but dang if I can find it. I tried the download link over athttp://www.wtmmail.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=1
...but no luck

It sounds like ShortURL is old but Simplified URL is more current, but I like the output of ShortURL

Automatic seems to be default, but can't find where to switch to require validation.

Hi All

Would be neat if the Captcha image validation system could be integrated with Xoops.

This could be very useful for user registration, the contact form, and anything else that bots could take a whack at.

Maybe this could be a plugin or something

Hi BJ

I snagged the guide download and plugged it in. Thanks. I noticed that there is no Guide Icon in left admin menu to edit guide preferences and things.

How can I add one?

I know that you can click the Guide word in the list of modules to edit preferences, but it's nice as well to have the icon on the left.

Also, when a visitor adds a site, all the field data except for the name is not being copied over. When admin goes to validate a submission, all that they see is the site title.

Could this be related to upgrading to XOOPS 2.0.9?

I am very interested in this. Zencart is a great script and getting better all the time, and I am just starting to try out XOOPS and loving it. Zen and XOOPS would be perfect together
