What's the maximun database for xoops?

My website online for 5 months, and the database has grown to staggering 60MB of database because of story and wfsection. With the trend, 3 years later I could end up with 4GB of database? Is this okies? Is there anything I should do because just backup the 60MB database took 20 minutes using myslqdump already. Any expert advice please?

Character switching problem

Xoops, by default, defines character as charset=ISO-8859-1
which is Western character encoding; however when I go to my story module and wfsection modules, some of the page automatically change to Unicode (UTF-8). I don't know what's wrong. How do I fixed this?

Problem with restoring database

While calling in the mainfile.php
if ( !defined("XOOPS_MAINFILE_INCLUDED") ) {
    define("XOOPS_MAINFILE_INCLUDED",1);

    // XOOPS Physical Path
    // Physical path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
    define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/what/should/go/here');
//    define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/what/different/here');


The two XOOPS_ROOT_PATH what should it be and can I be the same? I was able to find the fist but don't know how on the second line. It works ok before but now I changed server so the path to the html has been changed, which I found and put in the first XOOP_ROOT_PATH but I have no idea what to put in the second. Please help

How to ban user, set limit for PM, etc

My database grows to 500MB within 3 months :( Even I erase posts in the newbb that's 3 months or more. I'd like to set limit for user's private message and ban some users. How do I do this? Please help.

You have to have root access to do this

I personally experienced this issue before.
Many would argue me wrong but since the date I install xoops, the server runs at it highest capability or something, keep crashing and server response extremely slowly. I have DonXoops helped me out which he recommanded
1. Have it compile into html script instead of php. This helped alot
2. Caches for nonupdating modules
3. Don't use the "who's online" modules or any other block that's not neccessary and consist a lot of scripting.

I also have switcheed to a better server, dedicated server with Dual Xeon and it still consumes a lot of RAM and CPU

When I click on edit, and submit the edited thread, it's posted as a reply instead of editing the original post. Any idea what's wwrong?
