Thanks for the clue!
I did just do a sql debug.
Got the following error message.

SELECT * FROM PORTAL__config WHERE (conf_modid = 0 AND conf_catid = 1) ORDER BY conf_order ASC
SELECT sess_data FROM PORTAL__session WHERE sess_id = '83475550bdfae24c79362280e2810aa0'
SELECT * FROM PORTAL__users WHERE uid=1
SELECT * FROM PORTAL__modules WHERE dirname = 'system'
SELECT * FROM PORTAL__modules WHERE dirname = 'ipboard'
SELECT * FROM PORTAL__modules WHERE dirname = 'system'
SELECT * FROM PORTAL__configcategory
SELECT * FROM PORTAL__group_permission WHERE (gperm_name = 'module_admin' AND gperm_modid = 1 AND (gperm_groupid = 4 OR gperm_groupid = 5))
Total: 8 queries

I do not have a clue what this means!

I did do all of the above several times.
clean template_c
update all modules
deleted cookies and cleaned the cache on my computer until I am blue in the face.
I was able to enter and do all functions verrrry good as webmaster. Website functioned excellent.

Can I do this new install and copy the mainfile.php to the new install and just go?

I am starting a fresh install in a different folder.
I am thinking that I can copy the mainfile.php to the new install to read the database and not do the install process.
Is that correct?

Will try to get back in and do that.
What do I do if I can't get to admin?

More information for you to help me with.

I belive it has something to do with the permissions.
I can log in as webmaster and everything works good.
Trying to log in as a regular member.
I can view the log-in page. Log in and then see just the header and footer.
Changed the permissions for group.
Anonymous Users, to view everything and it works good.
Group "Registered Users", everything is checked but can view nothing.
Can I edit, drop or empty some table in the database to correct this.

It seems as though the program isn't writeing to the DB for this table.
I just don't know what table to edit or if I should or have to.

Program has been up and running very good for about 2/3 weeks now.
Lost database last night and had to restore it.
Could not do it in one upload had to do it in several uploads.

When I got it up and running everything looked good. Everything seemed to be working.

Noticed there was no one else there. ( I normally have at least 5-->> 10 and up on all the time.
Telephone started ringing, all they see is the header and footer.

I logged out and tried logging in under another profile I have and I was the same thing, (Header and footer only)

What could have happened and how can I correct it?
Thanks

Where is the switch to allow visitors to view without logging in.
People just arriving first time are called "Anonymous Users Group" right?
How can I allow them to view parts of the site (where they have permisson).
I want them to view parts of the IPB.
I have IPB permissions set to view the portion for "Guest"

When viewing XOOPS admin, blocks admin.
What is #unassigned?
This is a little confuseing in that if "Anonymous Users Group" is one visiting for the first time. Then when a registered person logging in as a registered member logs in as Anonymous.

All confused?
I am!

I was hoping there was some code I could insert to

.row1 { background-color: #666666 }
.row2 { background-color: #333333 }
.row3 { background-color: #666666 }
.row4 { background-color: #333333 }
.darkrow1 { color: #ffffff; background-color: #515050 }
.darkrow2 { color: #ffffff; background-color: #666666 }
.darkrow3 { color: #ffffff; background-color: #333333 }

To have these follow the theme!
Thought it wasn't an easy fix.
