For 5000 members, it's probably easiest to run a little sql query in the database, to change all 'group 3' to 'group 4' or whatever the corresponding numbers are.

yea, As david said, I wouldn't allow it, you'll end up with a lot of spam and it doesn't encourage people to register, but if you do, assuming you are using CBB as the forum, you can set the forum permissions you can tick off for anon 'Can Post without Approval'

Well I have nothing to do with smartfactory, so I can strongly suggest that SmartSection, would be the best way to go.

With regards to which wiki, I don't think it's really open to debate now, as rowd has been working on DokuWiki already since Feb.

A lot of the time people won't release a module or hack, because it's something messy they have done for there own site, and don't have the resources to turn it into something stable that'll work on every bodies site. But 8 times of of 10 if you ask the webmaster they'll give you the code.

I havn't tried it myself, but I remember seeing a post from phppp saying the latest version of CBB solves this issue, are you running the latest version?
