Ok I did that and its still too fast to get the error messages, I altered the permissions on the batch folder and thats when it allows 1 photo at a time to get transferred.

I think its a simple permissions isue but am not sure what the permissions should be all folders are chmod to 777 what shoud the owner and group be?

I deleted and reinstalled extgallery...So I have got as far as putting photos in the batch folder, just 2 or 3, then I choose my gallery and click submit, now the screen goes white (I am in XOOPS debug mode) no debugging appears, if I press the back button I get back to the photos admin page and it tells me there is one less photo.

This photo has been renamed and moved to the uploads/extgallery/public-photo directory but not to any of the medium large thumb directories

why would this be?

"So maybe for debuging purpose change 3 (sec.) delay to longer (for example 15 istead of three) in line 180:

redirect_header("photo.php", 3, sprintf(_AM_EXTGALLERY_X_PHOTO_ADDED, count($photos)));"

which file is the above in??...oops found it in photo.php

....hmm at the moment they are set to 777 and for the ftp admin

well I turned on debug and there are errors, but the page loads and reloads so fast you can't read them properly, I managed to glean:

something in the renaming process is going wrong, and permissions are wrong, on line 104 of photo.php

What a day to try 2.3.1 and a selection of gallery modules

So it seems I must create all the directories in Uploads for the original, large, medium and thumb photos, I have done this and chmod them to 777 just to make sure

I put 15 test photos in batch folder i batch upload them to a gallery, it says its done it and marks out 15 thumbs and populates the db and the gallery display except there are no pictures just place holders, if I try to open the thumbnail in a separate page it tells me

The requested URL /xxxxxx/uploads/extgallery/public-photo/thumb/thumb_xxxxxxx_1f4acd.jpg was not found on this server.

and it would be right as there is nothing in the thumb folder......

can anyone help me with this I am using GD2 which the index page claims is found at /usr/local/bin/ and working. It will not find imagemagick

in xcgal 2.04 I want to batch upload but when I clcik on batch upload in the admin area or user area I get a page that says:

"This function allows you to add a batch of picture that your have uploaded on your server by FTP.

Select the directory where you have uploaded your pictures"

there is nowhere to select the batch directory or have I misunderstood something

I have made sure I am up to date on both modules, xcgallery is working better but ext will not batch upload...it says it has uploaded the 15 test photos and then has not put the versions in the thumb, medium large etc folders.

I have outlined my problems in separate posts.

I really just want a gallery for a small website that works, pity there is not a zenphoto module
