OldSwede, that may be a small little module but it's one heck of a useful one. It solved a problem I was having with a couple of javascript feeds (i.e., the link colors in the incoming feeds were taking over my site links when that page was active, for one). Your little mod allowed me to bring the feeds onto separate pages outside of XOOPS and then bring the pages into Xoops. My problem was solved. And I put that little header area above the iFrame to good use, as well ... excellent title space and a nice spot for a little drop down menu.

I looked at a scrolling iFrame content menu, but the look wasn't right for my site (scrolling bells and whistles and all that ). But your little module allowed me to use my standard menu system to bring what I needed into Xoops. Thanks again for the module.

Two start pages ... possible?

I currently use a static page powered by TinyContent as my startup page. However, I would like to be able to use that as the startup page for anonymous users, and then have another start page (News) once they log in ... the idea being taking registered users straight to the News page to see any updated information.

Does that make sense at all? It does to me, which is kind of scary. Is it possible?

Hmmmm ... based on charpres' assessment of iContent, perhaps I should give it a more thorough look. There may be a lot more to it than meets the eye right away.

As for WF, I am quite curious about new features in version 2. It shouldn't be long to wait for its release, I think.

Modules don't appear for installation

I just uploaded iMenu and MultiMenu into my modules directory so I could check them both out. However, neither appears in the area where you would select it to install. They don't appear as broken as they do if the upload went awry. They just don't appear (yes, I checked to see if I uploaded them into my modules directory.

In the interim, I went ahead and replaced my Main Menu by using the custom block deal in the admin area. Works pretty well if you remember to use your theme's stylesheet. I haven't tried linking off site yet, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

I'm sure there's a better way to replace the main menu, without resorting to a module, but that's what I came up with. Hey, it may not be the best way, but it works!

Anyway, any ideas on why iMenu and MultiMenu don't appear where they can be installed? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info. I gave XF-Section 1.05 a spin and it looks just like what I am looking for. I understand it's a hacked version of WF-Section, trying to fix some bugs from an earlier WF release, so I have a good idea of what WF-Section will do now, I think.

I think I will continue to play with XF and wait for the new WF version 2. I also thought I read that some of the things in XF may be incorporated into the new WF, so it all looks very promising. And I heard that WF may be incorporated as the core sections module for XOOPS sometime in the future. Is that correct?

I intend to put a lot of time and effort into articles management so I just need something that will be around for a while and not go belly up. Thanks again for the info.

I agree. I think all Jan304 was saying was that he had never met that group of hackers, and doesn't want to. At least that's my take on it.

I am desparate for an articles management solution. I would like to try ANY version of WF-Section, but I cannot seem to find it as a download anywhere, even after a Google search and other searches. Where on earth is this WF-Section module everyone talks about, but doesn't seem to be anywhere?

I'm getting ready to give XF-Section 1.05 a try now, and would like to check out whatever the last WF-Section module was before it all disappeared. Any pointer toward where WF-Section may be downloaded would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, fooups, I will give iContent a try. Does anyone at all know where I can download WF-Section? The last version I know of is 1.01, I think. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Anyone know where I can download it? Thanks.

... publishing articles that will NOT be submitted by users. I looked at Soapbox but you have to set up a column and choose an author from among the registered users (or so it looks like to me). I haven't tried the Articles mod yet, but from the description it looks similar.

What I am looking for is a module where I can publish articles, in relevant categories either flat or threaded or whatever, where the authors will not be registered/anonymous users and will not be posting the articles themselves. I will probably put them up in HTML form.

Would WF-Sections be good for this? I don't see anywhere to download it, or would another module fit the bill. Thanks in advance.
