Hi,

Quote:
page titles that matched the articles in the weblog module,

How did you do that? I have a rudimentary version with my news items, but it adds < a>section name< /a> to the title bar too, not very attractive. I did it with an include in the theme and haven't figured out a work around. I'd like to do that with both news and weblog if I could. Would appreciate a pointer.

Perhaps googlebot has the bird flu?

Thanks in advance,
David.
P.S. Nice sites, btw.

Can anything be done about spam complaints?

Hi all,

Is there anything we can do about spam complaints from site members the DID select "receive notices" but are too f-ing lazy or stupid to manage their own membership accounts?

We have double opt in with confirmation email, but down the road, if someone complains, there doesn't seem to be a way to prove they signed up!

Any suggestions?

DJ.

Thanks all of you,

GD2 works fine, it was a matter of deleting and reupload.

I do hope someone adopts it, I like mods to be integrated, saves the double login, theme design etc.

Anyways, thanks again.

Hiya,

Already tried GD2, the thumbs/intermediates remained the same. Now it could be that the pics that were uploaded while I still had GD1 selected in admin prefs will stay the same no matter what I do, just new uploads will improve, but I'm not certain.

Thanks for replying tho'

Doing that rt now, but I've been having a devil of a time getting Imaga Magick to work properly.

Error 126 or 127 or "directory is not writable", still haven't figured out what's up. Any ideas?

I'm running XOOPS 2.09x and GD lib (tried both versions). Images look fine on hard drive, but dark, or washed out and grainy in thumbs and intermediate pix.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Many thanks, first time I've had it not set those perms automatically.

And didn't even think of that, being that it was the wee hrs of the morning.

Moral: Don't do an install unless wide awake

Thanks again.

I did a fresh install of 2.0.9.2 through Fantastico.
Server is running PHP version 4.3.10
And MySQL version 4.0.23-standard

All I get is a blank screen on most pages; index, register, user.php...

I can get the "Sorry you don't have permission..." page if I try any of the admin pages though.

Never had this problem, not sure what to do.

Any help would be appreciated asap, thanks.

Hi Guys,

I read both your pdf, Jenny, and the XOOPS install manual and I thought I'd try the upgrade on a subdomain that wouldn't matter much to lose as I mostly use it to test stuff out.

Now I get this;http://stef.able4.com/modules/weblog/install/index.php
and it's a 404 error.

What I ftp'd was the php files not the whole core and I was trying it out with 2.0.10RC

I might just delete everything in that folder and try to ftp the full pack and try an install

Not sure how I screwed up, any clues so I can actually do an upgrade on a live site.

Thanks for the feedback.
