now it doesn't work.

On wednesday I started to experience some problems with some of my sites.
I think it has something to do with 'SAFE MODE' or something.

Basically all my galleries have disappeared. I am using netpbm and now I get this messgage

'Note: Your NetPBM directory (/home/docuwedd/public_html/netpbm) is not in your open_basedir list (specified in php.ini):
/home/docuwedd
/usr/lib/php
/usr/local/lib/php
/tmp
So we can't perform all of our basic checks on the files to make sure that they exist and they're executable.

We are going to test each NetPBM binary individually. If you see errors, you should click here to see more details
Checking /home/docuwedd/public_html/netpbm/giftopnm
Error! (Expected status: 0, but actually received status: 127)

Checking /home/docuwedd/public_html/netpbm/jpegtopnm
Error! (Expected status: 0, but actually received status: 127)

etc etc

I am not clever enough to set up imagemagik

Can anyone help. I need my galleries back asap as this is losing me business

Is it a permissions thing. I have contacted my hosting company but their tech help has not replied.

I think a system that would work is this.

Someone like me who needs a module that has commercial benefits posts the spec. Devs then post their thoughts on how much it would cost. A price is set and a paypal donation system is set up for the module. The money is paid to a third party. Once the target is met an initial payment is made to the dev/devs who have quoted the best price. Once the module is complete and released then the rest of the fee is paid. The module is available to all so everyone still benefits. The more well off amongst us who want to see the module will pay more to get the work done.

Module developers will benefit by earning a bit of cash, XOOPS will benefit because more commercially viable modules will become available and site owners will benefit by getting the stuff they need quicker.

I have posted a few projects on the forums and been contacted off forum by devs and paid them for work - I think this would be much better in the open.

Exactly - like freelancer.com or whatever its called. Someone could set up a site just for this- it would benefit everyone in the end.

you would naturally get more commercially viable modules.

Commissioned modules is a great idea.I have recently paid to have Xdirectory to be modified and was more than happy to pay to get the functionality I needed but then my sites earn me money.

I think you could have a commissioned modules forum. Someone one could post the details of a module they need. The devs could post an estimated price and then site owners could contribute to a fund. Once the target is met then that module gets made and released to all. I would be more than happy with this system.

Any one want to start on my photo print ordering module?
