Dreamhost servers already have PHP4 installed as standard.

Can you be a tad more specific please? What exactly do you want this block to do for you? IE: Is it just a most recent news block, but with only one headline?

I think Tom's right. Allowing HTML in itself isn't necessarily the problem, but that HTML can be used to run a javascript to flood your site etc etc

The permissions don't appear to have been changed properly.

If I try to directly access your theme.html file through my browser, I get a 403 forbidden error, which wouldn't happen if it was CHMOD 777

Maybe you're just not using it properly Max. It's not essentially a WYSIWYG editor in the first place, but a simple formatting tool

Max,

The font style changes in my FAQ are working fine. Remember that any style changes you make don't work as in, for example, Word. You have to either add the colour changes inside square brackets manually, or type in the phrase you want formatted into the box above the highlight box so it can make the changes and insert them for you.

It doesn't appear to me to be a bug

Hmmm, it looks like it might just be a permissions error.

Try changing the permissions on the zaja-system folder to 777 and make sure you don't have a .htaccess file in there.

Gareth

Is the zaja_system folder in the themes directory for the link you just gave us, because I got a 404 error when I tried to read your theme.html and check for errors.

Hi,

I don't have experience to the particular themes you're talking about, but I can only imagine that the bug lies with the theme and not with Xoops. I say this becuase if some themes work, and others don't the templating system seems to be intact.

I know when I create a theme myself, a small piece of misplaced PHP code, or a syntax error can result in a blank page, so maybe this is the case with the themes you've tried to import.

Also be sure that the theme's you're using are XOOPS 2 compatible, because if they were designed for 1.3 there are some fundamental differences that will cause issues.

Regards,
Gareth
